  1. RL was ok for the first 15 mins or so, after that like the rest of the team he might just as well of not been there, biggest miss for me though a fit partner for RL, think he's lost interest and that it really is time to rest him, unfortunately we have no replacement, we moved JP out of the club on loan when yesterday would of been an ideal game for him to spark, RL won't perform until there is someone close to him to to take advantage of the knockdowns, why should he try and win the ball when theres no other player close to him to take advantage?
  2. those that sing chant whatever the content of the words are there having fun, football is entertainment, god if we had to analyse every fans ability to sing before they got a ticket and then had to challenge their creativity the stadium would be silent apart from the refs whistle. lighten up, the time it takes for a chant to catch on means that original chants won't be spontaneous, but hey ho perhaps the non singers and those who have a problem with the content would like to make an official forum approved song sheet and hand it to each fan as they enter the stadium after an audition to ensure they can sing in tune, read the sheet oh and maybe most important they can decide how they want them to enjoy their game of football!!!
  3. so Gayboy might get more out of the deal than the HMRC?, AA finally admitting that income is lower than outgoings and as such the club cannot self finance? bet the players are really looking forward to playing tomorrow, be crunching in the tackles whilst thinking who do I play for next week ????? does this mean Bompey get automatic promotion to rival status? time for some new songs?

  5. oh dear lookslike the moving goalposts have decided to leave Fratton
  6. from the story I have had related , it was self defense, after having the first bottle ripped from his mouth, now if the evidence of which I'm also told its on CCTV points to that viewpoint then the CPS would be unlikely to pursue the case. admittedly I have this story secondhand however it does come via a viewing of the incident report which gives enough doubt on first reading to allow self defense.
  7. really don't understand this thread, why anyone feels that they support the club in a better manner than the guy next to them thats more vocal really makes no sense to me, its a game, it's full of individual opinions, I go the northam for the banter, to me its all apart of the game including hearing someone making a 'tit' of themselves getting a name wrong etc. whether we sing the song at the wrong tempo who really cares , I'm pretty sure that Rickie isn't thinking sod making a run into the box cos the northam can't get the tempo right for OWTS (in the view of some Uber Fans) those singing it are enjoying themselves and the games supposed to be a form of entertainment. if all you have to moan about is the so called quality of a fans then you must life either a sheltered life or a very fortunate one Turkish
  8. So can I ask who does represent the entire fan base? there certainly not every fan in any one organisation How many members does the Trust or SISA have? have you had sight of the membership lists? The Echo allows replies to all its articles, and very rarely do the replies all follow the same view, why don't you join either SISA or the Trust and change from within? Not a member of either personally and don't feel the need to join either, like this forum they raise items for debate, they get people thinking outside the box, thats how things evolve, just because someone has a different viewpoint and they manage to air their views in a public media does that mean they should be censored or banned or their organization disbanded? If we all thought that way I wouldn't be able to reply here and SISA and the Trust may campaign to have the Forum with its opposing views closed because it doesn't talk for the entire fan base. I see the issue as being with the papers , and perhaps thats Cortese's viewpoint, the papers will report anything that gives a headline and sells copy hence why that idiot with the tats n hat gets published for the Skates yet it seems is detested by most Skates.
  9. well never seen saints play 4th division football before
  10. I was kind of hoping it was down so they could prepare to unveil MON on the front page of the site
  11. Is the OS down for anyone else?
  12. well the wrong guy's were subbed today, Punch should of gone off and Dickson on at halftime, and also reckon Lambert should of gone. not sure what game Wilkins was watching to leave Punch on reckon he has 'Saga' syndrome, got a contract tim to take it easy
  13. well the fact neither Spiderman or Hammond when they have the ball look to actually take it forward themselves tells me, either told to play that way or they don't seem to be able to see the space infront of them. Hammond has missed so many headers he might as well not bother getting in the box. Puncheon at times couldn't trap a housebrick yesterday and seems to delay putting in the cross and needs to always cut inside, the better crosses came from Right back.puncheon didn;t seem to want to try going outside the left back for orient. Thought Banard had one of his better games and didn't agree with his subbing thought Puncheon should of gone off, but really the lack of pace and the lack of an ability to change shape and style comes back the manager. We seem to have no plan B , we huffed and puffed then when that didn't work we ran out of ideas. As for the subject of goalkeeping when will he learn the 6 yard box is his domain and he needs to dominate it that might inspire the back 4 to step up and take the presure off the midfield who can then get forward more.
  14. thank you Marcus for saving our club, for the trip to Wembley with 3 generations of my family there together, rest in peace ML , you truly are a Saints Legend
  15. But are they secured creditors? Only secured by using the PL parachute money, which HMRC are arguing is the clubs money but with in effect a restrictive covenant. The football creditors rule has no legal standing , its just that a 'rule' for a members club, hence HMRC stance on the case, I think that they will be allowed a vote , however that the money from the parachure payments if included in the CVA should go to all creditors as is the law. Remember the judge deals with the LAW not members club RULES. I see only one winable argument today thats the voting and change in the figures between the proposal sent out and the actual CVA voted on.. I think the CVA will be rejected and they'll remain in ADMIN, however the judge may appoint an admin of his own due to AA's poor record
  16. Can someone explain the 'silverspoons' episode?,
  17. well this is a case where the home sec should be appealing the sentence, far to light, they went out and this was to all intents a premeditated attack, ok not this victim but they had the intention to attack and film the kid will now miss out on the special relationship only grandparents can give whilst those lads it will only be a 'blip' in their lives hang em
  18. Well I received 3 out of the four, in two different envelopes and they managed to mix the names up so the junior and assuming the under 8 will have wrong names and, they even managed to swap the seats round! Got to wait to see if 4th ticket arrives then have to post them back to get the names swapped over ! Ah well so much for the simplicity of just repeating last years tickets !!!!!!
  19. thats the deed done, 4 tickets renewed thank god for 0% credit cards, now just to split cost into 6 then use the second 6 months to save for next years
  20. well if it was credit history for SFC why did they do the scheme last year? surely this years payment history for SFC would of improved or are you suggesting the clubs worse off than before? This isn't a class war, those who can get credit against those who can't more about the communication within the club and its staff and then the communication with the fans, read somewhere we may not even get a renewal notice sent to us. Bad weather, evening games, strange kick off times all affect the walk up crowd and those who purchase game by game, queuing in the cold and rain to get your ticket because they've imposed a £3 booking charge won't appeal to some. Something seriously lacking in the customer services side of the club at the moment, beginning to wonder where the focus is , surely it can't all be on the catering , no need for catering if you don't have customers, and surely the catering will be costed against knowing you have a certain captive market ie a percentage of the season ticket holders who will attend and buy food, programmes etc.
  21. so the Fans Charter for 2010/11 reads In an effort to gain a more tranquill atmosphere in St Marys on match day, the club will not be offering installment plans for the purchase of season tickets. The club have invested in new catering arrangements and to cut the queues expected unfortunately it has been felt necessary to remove those season ticket holders who find it necessary to pay other household bills and may not be in a position to afford the new catering prices. In future the Saints Player TV service will also require payment upfront for the whole season to avoid anyone watching it instead of buying a season ticket. Match day programmes will also not be available to inform the fans of any changes to the fans charter.
  22. How does the club lose money? The money wouldn't be with them any earlier if people bought tickets on a match by match basis, its not as if they are providing all the matches then collecting the money afterwards. They will make more money on match by match, what with the booking fee so they will lose from that prospective, however people get out of the habit, wheres the point in improving the catering then removing the customer base?
  23. http://www.barclaysfootball.co.uk/card-details/index.php hmmm seems the option of the Barclaycard is no longer there for season tickets ? The point about loan players is if the club is not using borrowing and is now changing its policy on credit then to 'borrow' players rather than purchase players seems to run against that ethos. Does it mean that all players purchased will be outright purchases? no structured payments? Does it mean the club will insist all players sold are paid for in one payment?
  24. But the club don't seem to mind borrowing players do they ?
  25. wtf, only real FANS? after all the 'prawn sandwich' arguments you now want to drive out fans who for one reason or another do not want to or cannot gain access to a credit card? The biggest point is the fans charter that now resides in Cortese's bin under his desk, even RL with his renowned penny pinching never sank that low but I suppose it follows ML's ethic of no credit or loans, strange then that the club will play loan players!
