Thanks for the great replies. I won't be wearing a skull cap though as i'm English C of E! They sound pretty mad drivers, but i'm a confident driver so not overly concerned. It just takes the hassle out of organising/catching public transport. Basically i'll dump the car at the hotel car parks anyway and only use it for traveling between hotels.

It would mean spending 60 quid on diesel and a 6 hour round trip just to pick up a bloody bus ticket. Or go to the Blackpool game which is a 120 quid day out (fuel, ticket, extras). All just before Christmas. The police/club have been utterly callous in this and are punishing everyone because of the actions of a minority. And for what? Posting out a bloody bus ticket is hardly a problem. I really think Burrows won't be happy until nobody bothers going.

Apart from fans who don't live locally, who PC Burrows seemingly has no regard for, who can't have coach passes posted out to them. I've supported saints all over the country but thanks to him I can't go. It is an absolute disgrace.

Am flying from Luton and it works out at 250 each (including hold bags). I don't fancy day trips from Tel Aviv - was thinking more of a touring holiday and so far only have Jerusalem pencilled in for a few nights. I know Acre was a big crusader port and that appeals, but with it being right up north might be too much driving. Car hire is cheap at around 300 quid for 18 days. Hotels are very expensive though so will have to put some effort into finding the best deals and may even book direct into guest houses some of which get good reviews.

I'm going to Israel next year but have made no plans yet other than sorting out flights, has anyone been? What are the best sites/cities? Is public transport (trains) good between tel aviv and other cities? Has anyone hired a car instead of using public transport?

Hardly a wind up. If you knew anything about our recent away trips to FP (I have attended them all) you will know that tickets always go to general sale and anyone who wants a ticket easily gets one. If you consider how we're being forced to jump through hoops to jump through hoops this time around it's obvious that applications will be low - even though we're playing well. 8,000 applications LOL.

You have complained before about how you have to do more work now due to cuts to staffing levels. I say good. Clearly you weren't doing a lot in the first place. As a tax payer why should I pay to keep people like you in half a job for a full time wage?

It doesn't always work like that. Many jurors know a given defendant is guilty but they vote not guilty because they do not consider the offence to be worthy of a guilty verdict or they consider the defendant to be be the victim etc etc. There are many variables. That is the beauty of a fair trial.

I imagine all options to sort out the mess left by Labour have been considered, but the govt. need to know just how unpopular and ill judged this would be. Brown raided pension pots and forced many businesses to opt out of final slary salary schemes or close them all together. They should stick to cutting the waste in the public sector (including non jobs like badgerx16's)
