  1. 'Spin the wheel amazon scam adverts' are plaguing this website via my iPad. Unusable.
  2. Still not happy about the App picture or audio quality compared with the NBC tv broadcast, but better than nowt!
  3. I'll try out the Gold replay on Sunday since I'll be ****ed if I'm getting up at 5:30. Watch though, as some inept NBC tech forgets to upload the replay as it's the only gold game of the day (and only saints vs Burnley).....happened once last season as I recall. Tossers...
  4. Yep, VAR is bound to spot that.
  5. Has anyone got a scan of pages 2 & 3?
  6. I dislike the term, it's a bit wanky, but you know I'm not talking about peepee water beer.
  7. We stayed in a great AirBnB south of Belmont Park on Mission Beach last year. Steps away from the beach and close and easy access across Mission Bay to everything in the city. If you're looking for a well priced hotel, Old Town Inn is our goto place. Again, easy access to get around the city and also close to a 'trolley' stop. Smashing city. Enjoy! (Let me know if you like 'craft beer' and I'll give you my picks of the best taprooms)
  8. Lucky smoke time. Nuns.....
  9. Long on please...
  10. Get the **** innnnnnnn!!!!
  11. All of them? Or one or two games in a blue moon? For me, no Prem=No more 38 live games. (Not that I've enjoyed them this season)
  12. Oops. My favourite 'close' getaway city. Got it all - climate, beaches, stuff to do and fantastic beer. Yellowstone National Park is most amazing. Sulphur pools, geysers, friendly buffalo, etc. Highly recommend a visit before it blows.

  14. What's that pink thing in Redmond's hand? No wonder Hughes is smiling. Kelvin looks happy too.
  15. Not necessarily deliberate, but survival certainly not the priority? Although the income derived from Premier League membership far outweighs the Championship, to function as a club in the Prem, you have to spend an awful lot of it in wages and purchases. After the summer player sales (adding to the 75M for VVD) and the onset of parachute payments, what's to say that the first year's Championship status (albeit reduced supporter admission income) is any less lucrative?
  16. Is there any plausible scenario that it's possible that Gao wanted in on a club who were about to make £75 m, asset strip in the summer, receive parachute payments and then either bugger off when it suits him or sustain a cheap to operate Championship club? I'm looking at this very pessimistically (and possibly the above plan doesn't work like that at all) but how can this colossal fook up really happen if the agenda was to survive the drop? If this is all about Reed insisting on sticking by his appointment, isn't he going to look even sillier if we were to be relegated (which has looked likely now for some months). All so avoidable, yet here we are.
  17. In other (unrelated) curling news..... Phwwwwwoooooar! Her husband curling partner tested positive for a banned substance though, bye bye bronze medal. Oh you silly Russians.....
  18. If Trump wanted to get one over on the Democrats (that's his favourite thing), he can push hard to repeal the legality of the bump stock, the device that turns semi automatic rifles into machine guns (like the Mandalay Bay murderer used). The ATF (Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) under the jurisdiction of the Dems were naively duped into ratifying the bump stock as the manufacturer sold the design that it was intended to aid disabled shooters.
  19. All part of draining the swamp and giving the country back to the people. No more pandering to lobbyists, etc, eh? No problems here! Move along. He's doing a schhhhhhhwell job.
  20. Wishful thinking. Unless we are demolished by WBA, a point or a narrow loss (demonstrating we have potential) will keep Mauricio in his job, surely.
  21. Looks like a damage diagram of what happens if a nuke goes off in Texas. (The website is called Statsbomb afterall.) Hope Carrillo is da bomb...
  22. It's sarcasm. Gallagher will still be loaned out.
  23. This is a pretty good thread, once you get past the silly opening post. Finishing 8th and a cup final was decent. (There were 3 points separating 8th and 14th, but we still made 8th.) The board clearly are looking to improve based on what we were being served at home for the final third of the season. In hindsight they made the wrong decision in appointing Pellegrino but not necessarily in sacking Claude. No one can say for sure what situation Puel would have had us in though. He might have achieved midtable again. He might have ironed things out during the summer - strengthened how he wanted, ditched his dour tactics, won the confidence back of some of the players, etc, but no one can be certain based on his early achievements at a different club, a team who won the league two seasons ago. IMO Puel wasn't showing the signs that he would be able to adjust and push us forward. But as others have pointed out, the board might do well to learn the lesson, that finishing midtable should not be punished. Time will tell on how the board react from here on.
  24. Yeah I miss all those 4-1 away wins last season. What were the board thinking.....crazy mofos
  25. Anyone planning a sleepover in London?
