  1. That's not really a problem is it?
  2. I thought that was directed to Burnley in general and not Vokes.
  3. Beating the likes of Juventus and Roma wasn't it. Imagine that, would be class.
  4. 1. I thought we were already out of the race. 2. There was a race, pretty much over now, can't see past the current top 4. 3. Yes, we were realistic, a big ask, but not impossible. 4. No, no chance. 5. Equal. Worth having a decent go of it, not impossible to get through to the finals, unlikely, but imagine that.
  5. So there are big queues at Upton Park, White Hart Lane Stations, Highbury and Islington, but none at Southampton Central. It's easy to get back to Totton, Romsey, Fareham, Winchester, even Reading. Half the people leaving early are just going back to the pub anyway.
  6. Are you being serious? It's Monday morning. It'd be poor if we didn't hear anything by the end of this week, but I'm sure we will.
  7. Those queues aren't easily avoided, that's why they exist. So what journeys would an equivalent of a mersey rail, Mancheter Metro Link or London Underground in Southampton make a significant difference to? And how does that differ to a West Ham fan travelling back from one of their home games to Hertfordshire for example?
  8. Which all have massive queues that last for over half an hour after games. Not sure how any of them would work in Southampton and make much of a difference to half the ground leaving 5 mins early.
  9. What do you mean by "mass transit"? What is Southampton Central station, if not a mainline station walking distance from the ground? St Marys is walking distance to its city centre, walking distance to the mainline train and coach station and walking distance to regional train stations. Also easy walking distance to Hythe and Isle of Wight ferries. Compare that to West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, QPR or even places like Man Utd or Leeds (ridiculous queues for buses back into town).
  10. How is Southampton a special case though? How is it so much harder to get away than other places?
  11. Southampton isn't much different to any other city hosting Premier League games. Look at the effort and queues getting away from the surrounding areas of London clubs, much worse than Saints and none of their fans live in the vicinity of their grounds.
  12. A team taking another step to one of their best league finishes in many years finishing a game with a half empty ground.
  13. Who has said they can't do what they want? Doesn't stop it being s**t does it.
  14. Why is that any different to 90% of other Premier League grounds?
  15. I don't think I've been to a ground that empties so much before the end of the match, regardless of scoreline, even those big grounds full of plastics.
  16. And used to be done between the Archers and Milton in the later Dell days.
  17. Yeah, guess you're right, we are stuck with Davis. He gets great support, so no problem there.
  18. Which war? Do you have any stats on how many throw ins we've had since the 2nd Boer War?
  19. I'd agree with most of that. Pelle gets undeserved stick, but then as does a lot of the side considering we're 6th going into April. Strange game; at times it was a close affair, at others we completely dominated and looked head and shoulders above them. My biggest annoyance is seeing the ground half empty on the final whistle, proper weird behaviour that, even the players and management must notice it a bit.
  20. I'm worried about Davis. Will be interesting to see how the club play this. Hardest position to recruit for is 2nd choice keeper, but the Koemans and Watson should know what they're doing in this regard.
  21. Yes, no, no. No-way its going to happen.
  22. Where has this rumour come from?
  23. What are Ward-Prowse's attributes in your eyes?
  24. Thanks for the insight.
  25. No-one is saying that Davis is a bad player, the vast majority of fans rate him and appreciate the work he puts in. But for a game against Burnley, at home, when we already have two excellent defensive midfielders, yet are struggling for goals going forward, it makes sense to sacrifice a bit of work-rate in exchange for some creativity.
