  1. On the basis we're taking the competition seriously and intend to put out a side close to full strength and Arsenal will rest the vast majority of their key players, we do have a fair chance, certainly will be a close game - look at the 2nd half at Anfield for evidence we can certainly compete. We can have a massive allocation at cheap tickets, up to 6-10k tickets I think, so a good chance for all those that don't manage to get a ticket for the league game there.
  2. No top clubs made serious moves for Wanyama or Lovren last summer, that's why we could sign them.
  3. Exactly. I'm afraid he struggles to understand simple points though.
  4. I haven't referred to immigration as "an infestation", so please don't try to make things up.
  5. Just further proof, as if it were needed, of the continued failure of multi-cultural/politically correct culture infesting many of our towns and cities.
  6. It was clearly deliberate, not sure why there is any doubt.
  7. I can't see us signing Alderweireld unless it was to replace Fonte, which doesn't seem likely? No particularly strong rumours at the moment.
  8. YEs, the club tweeted earlier n the day they were available for the away end at the ground.
  9. Lovren didn't even play particularly badly last night, and he is still a very good CB, however the stick he is getting is amusing and long may it continue.
  10. Yes, they are.

    Pelle

He has been poor and won very little for us. I'd like to see the definition of "winning an aerial dual", I can't think of too many occasions where he brought other members of the team into the game.
  12. Can't see why anyone would have a problem with that, Le Tiss is clearly just having a laugh.
  13. I thought we were cr@p. Everything about us was bad. The only highlights were Wanyama and Forster who were top draw throughout. S**t atmosphere throughout as well.
  14. Not really. You're working off the assumption that the tickets aren't selling due to price, not any other reason. Will we sell out for the Cat A games that are much more expensive? Probably. Did we come close to selling out for the Leverkusen game despite the ridiculously cheap price?
  15. Playing Devil's Advocate, is £34 that excessive for Premier League football in 2014? Are most other clubs having problems with ticket sales?
  16. How do you work that out? Clearly more than 25k sold.
  17. I actually went along as it's not far off for me and I'm a sad c**t. I thought West Ham pegged us back a lot, some good last ditch defending from Wood and McCarthy at times. Cropper struggled in my eyes, just didn't command his box at all. Made one good save. I thought Rowe and McQueen looked the best of the rest, certainly potential there, but it's still a big step up. Goes without saying we've "lost" Shaw, Chambers, Reed, Targett and Gallagher from our under 21s, so what is playing at the moment is the best of the rest.
  18. No it's not, he would have picked what he considered his best team and would have no time for egos, same as Koeman has done.
  19. Nicely played by Tan then, he has done Mackay up a treat. God knows what would be on the phones of a lot of top professionals across various industries, Mackay has just been unlucky to get caught out here.
  20. By goalkeeper standards he seemed to be injury prone, I remember him struggling in a few games for us carrying a strain http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/10740448.Boruc_injury_worry/ Where have I suggested he wasn't a good keeper for us in 12/13 or 13/14?
  21. Can't quite remember myself either to be honest, just did a quick google search and most links seem to come from 2012.
  22. It's a tough ask for our recruitment team, but across the whole of Europe there must be a keeper who would be keen for the wages he could earn in the PL, while having an outside opportunity to make a name for himself in cup games. Any keepers coming to the end of their careers? In theory Gazzaniga should have been the perfect choice, young, keen to learn, still a bit raw, but ready to be coached and learn in league cup games etc, adequate enough to cover the odd game if called upon - he did have a good reputation in the game as an up-and-coming 'keeper, he just hasn't fulfilled that promise. Whilst many might be panicking about the prospect of Gazzaniga or Davis playing a load of games for us this season, on average, how many games do most first choice keepers miss each season? Boruc was a bit of an exception for us, he missed more than most do and therefore left us exposed to our 2nd choices more than most.
  23. How did we try and replace Boruc at the end of his first season?
  24. Not sure how I missed them first time around, fair cop. Who were these texts sent to? To someone that has made them public? Or has Tan been able to just produce all info sent from a company mobile phone as owner of the organisation?
