THe club knew what they were getting when they bought him. Clearly very hot headed and could have got in trouble at the Villa game and sent off against Sunderland (I think it was). You have to accept at least one three match ban with him a year I reckon. We'll now get a couple of months out of him at best this season.

I'm actually with the club on this one. Distinct lack of respect from a match official towards one of our senior pros. Who cares if it makes us/Lallana unpopular? Ferguson and Mourinho have always been very good at creating a "us against the rest" culture at clubs, no good being thought nice and likeable all the time in football.

I agree, it's not outright "offensive", but it's a snide, condescending remark to put Lallana "back in his place", referees have no place to comment on the character or otherwise of players. S**t ref, hope we pursue it further as his performances in our games have been a joke.

He was playing better than Schneiderlin. If we're unable to win the ball back, we won't score or open up games regardless of who else is playing further up the pitch.
