There are plenty of good examples of fan ownership/participation throughout football. However the Skate fans won't actually own anything, so not the best example to use.

It's a good read that, but funnier if just read through the google translated version after searching for it.

Ball Street discuss Saints and Pochettino (YouTube Show)
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That's really not worth a watch. -
Yeah tons of Stoke fans will manage that.......
-
It is category C, the cheapest, 4pm on the Sunday.
-
How will they manage that?
-
Doesn't make sense.
-
Yes, I know. Hard to call tomorrow night's game.

I'd suggest you read my post again. In '79 more people voted Tory in Southampton than Labour. They further backed Thatchet's tenure in two more general elections. Those are the facts.
-
Yes sure. Cope was only two terms, but the overall vote in Southampton in '79 was higher for the Tories than Labour, the Tories then saw comfortable election wins under Thatcher in Southampton.
-
Neither this, nor our game away at Sunderland are going to be moved for TV.
-
Hope it doesn't ruin the holidays too much though.
-
Sounds like one to me. Along with "I enjoy my 3-4 holidays a year". Alright for some hey.
-
I must have missed us being subsidised by the government? When did that happen?
-
No, don't think it's going to happen.
-
No, give it away. Pity you're spending your money on having 3 or 4 holidays a year, when you could be giving that to a local family in need to go away for a week, not much sharing going on there.
-
More people in Southampton wanted to vote for her party than any of the other options, three times on the trot, that's a fact.
-
No one is stopping you sharing your wealth as much as you want.
-
He's played 17 times for Milan this season alone and scored as recently as last weekend against Fiorentina. Has obviously had injury problems though and can't see him being quite our sort of signing. Would defintiely do a job for us if injures have been sorted though.

Ah, I didn't realise the Tories rigged all those elections, I take it you've got proof of that to support your comparison to Mugabe? Most people vote for what they think is going to give them the best deal? Do you think a Scouser voting for Labour in '79 gave much of a thought as to how it might affect you or your family in Southampton? Of course they didn't.

No-one has said privatisation is a massive success, not sure why you're making that up? However, there has been a great increase in use by the public and improvements in train performace. My point was in reply to those saying our rail network is so bad compared to Europe, when it clearly isn't. I've travelled on both regularly, there is very little in terms of cost and service between our railway and most major European nations. We do need to reduce the amount of tax payers money that is used by the system. Been a while since I read it, but I don't think McNulty recommends further closures. Going off a ona bit of a tangent now anyway.

Not even close, you'd have to add at least £10m on top of that for it to be realistic. Look what we sold Chamberlain for and compare where they are in their respective careers and importance to both clubs - look at Spurs quoting £70m+ for Bale and the fact that Arsenal are sitting on a shed load of money. It wouldn't surprise me if they made a very significant bid for him though.
-
Can't see any of them going.
-
Oxford Street is good, but not much going on if you're under 25 and looking for a night out.
-
They're approximately the same. I do plenty of train travel in the UK and Europe, there is very little difference in the price I pay or the service I've received. The roads are busy, but not choked, you can look at any stats you want, rail travel in this country has been a massive success over th last 10/15 years. I do agree that tax payer contributions are too high into the system, but there is plenty of work going into that - ironically brought about by the Tory initiated McNulty report etc.
