One Nigel Adkins chart for 1 min at Ko

What do you expect him to say/the club to put out? He's just being professional as expected. -
CHELSEA GAME MOVED - 31st March - Super Sunday - 4pm KO
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Was moved last week. Our only sky game in March as things currently stand, although I think Liverpool at home can still be moved to the Sunday due to their Europa League commitments. -
Sums up the whole situation pretty well for me.

One Nigel Adkins chart for 1 min at Ko
Sour Mash replied to DrZuess1979 the 2nd's topic in The Saints
It's not a negative atmosphere though, it's a positive one. MP said himself in his press conference he understands it. -
Well was an issue that Adkins varied our formation at times or not?
-
So many think Cortese wants control over the way the team play after all, as suggested by many on here previously.
-
Sorry, you asked why fans felt he should have done a press conference, I've answered. You seem like another one of these modern day fans that lap up everything their club does for the slightest sniff of success.
-
I do. It was the wrong decision. There is more to being a fan of a football club than simply how many games you can win at any cost.
-
I take it you feel NC should only give MP a couple of months to prove himself in this league?
-
Why is it 'sentimental nonsense'? All football is. You sticking by the team you've supported since a kid when they're doing s**t, rather than b*ggering off to support Man Utd, why isn't that 'sentimental nonsense'?
-
When the new manager seems to have been watching games and scouting new players while Adkins is working his balls off, thats conspiring. I'd feel like a right mug if I was Adkins. If that happened in most organisations it'd be considered out of order and people wouldn't be happy. And why a press conference? As with anything in life, people respect those who come out and face up to their decisions, it's not rocket science.
-
No, I think it's absolutely ridiculous to give a manager a few months to prove himself in a new league. But there are quite a few on here agreeing with NC's logic of judging Adkins that way.
-
Right I'll take that as a 'Yes' you think MP should have a couple of months to prove himself, then should get the sack if he doesn't manage it.
-
No. We've got Les Reed.
-
As he's been conspiring behind Adkins back for weeks if not months, and didn't tell Adkins face to face he'd been sacked I think that speaks volumes. Why not do a separate press conference? It would surely be easy for him as his decision is so logical?
-
NC gave the manager that had got him two promotions in two years a couple of months in the Premier League to learn and develop into a Premier League manager. I assume NC will also give MP just a couple of months as well to prove himself by your logic another sacking would be sensible?
-
Ah, I forget you're one of these posters that dismisses anything in the media they don't like as 'nonsense' ha ha! It clearly wasn't working for us.
-
Equally there are many posters that don't seem to understand you can be against the decision, but don't necessarily think MP is s**t. Don't understand what you mean by 'insular' or 'old school'.
-
We'll probably get our next update from NC in the next pre-season dvd they send out. Can't wait.
-
MP might turn out to be a top manager. He might not. But thats not the point. How hard is that to understand? Or do you lap up anything the club does just for the merest hint of European football?
-
F**ks sake, 'their snow'.
-
I don't think too many people are going to be waving hankies thankfully.
-
So you won't sing any songs in support of Nigel Adkins? How did the anti-Glazier protests affect Man Utd's on the pitch performances?
-
You seen some of the articles published last night about the confusion and divisions in us executing our transfer policy? Or the reports that Adkins was sacked due to not getting on with NC? If you think that is "working", then crack on.
-
Neutral in that as far as I'm aware he shows no clear bias towards a particular team - this isn't a Merson or Le Tiss commentating here. We all know there was friction between the manager and chairman, some of us have been posting about that for months.
