  1. Why? It makes sense for a variety of reasons.
  2. Why is it funny? Read the latest AA quotes, they're continuing to take the f****g p**s!
  3. Can't think of loads immediately around the pub, but reckon if you head along Castle Boulevard you'll find somewhere close enough. Other good pubs are the Newshouse and the Vat & Fiddle.
  4. And that's taking into consideration all the public money and "regeneration" funding that is pumped in the north. Cut that and it'd be even lower.
  5. All true and must be taken into consideration, but if you're a good player, you're a good player regardless and shouldn't make that much of a difference. It's fundamentally the same game wherever you play in the world.
  6. Cardiff was good as well to be fair, at Bristol Ciy started off decent and tailed off pretty quickly, combination of over officious stewarding and Saints struggling on the pitch I guess.
  7. For those that care.................... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2571343,00.html Not as expensive as they could have been I guess.
  8. Clueless on so many levels, but wouldn't want to take this thread too far off topic.
  9. What are you expecting it to be? It's obviously some blokes just having a laugh, easy viewing on a Sunday night or whatever, it's never going to be ground-breakingly original, just a bit of fun.
  10. Definitely one of the better sides that we've seen at SMS this season. Would take a draw on Saturday, can see West Ham only drawing at the Skates though.
  11. I certainly didn't see "several hundred people" entering the ground 15 mins in.
  12. It would be a massive shame if Scotland was to be granted independence. We have a far greater shared history, than any achievements that would be considered separately. As has been pointed out before, it was the British Armed Forces that fought the world wars for example. It is something that has been pushed and promoted by left-wing politicians playing upon the comparative (lack of) wealth of many parts of Scotland to the South East of England, forgetting that such comparisons could easily be made by Cornwall, North East England, North West England etc. As has already been stated, it has suited these politicians to have their cake and eat it and I'd hate to think how much things like the Scottish parliament has cost the tax payer. However, I think Cameron might be being quite bright on this - anyone know how this would change the voting lay-out in the country? Surely it would mean Labour losing loads of safe seats from Westminister, while the Tories lost a sum total of none?
  13. Its a decent enough ground and alright if you get a clear run on/off the motorway. Few gripes would be the high amount of police and stewards there on Saturday, well over the top and the disgusting pies they had on sale, 3 of my mates had them and all chucked them away unfinished!
  14. Yes mate, loads of good pubs around there for a full pub crawl, end up back at Waterloo for the last trains home.
  15. Also a good opportunity for any new signings to "gel" and get some game time under their belts.
  16. I'd say Millwall is a better day out than Dagenham. London Bridge/Borough is probably the best bit of London for pubs.
  17. Good numbers from us up there yesterday, but I'm not too sure if I believe the attendance information given out by Cov. In fact thinking about it a bit more, there is no way in the world the ground was a third full yesterday.
  18. Just ignore him, it really ain't that hard. Same for Dalek and the same old attention seeking bait - what is sadder is people constantly "biting" and making the whole thing more boring and drawn out than it should be.
  19. First half we were poor. was still a pretty stong line up out there and we just didn't look interested enough. 2nd half much better and we completely bossed it against a poor Cov side. Pleased for Ward-Prose and Martin for their goals, not overly impressed with the other young lads though. Funny line-up, god knows how Harding ended up at right-back, but he probably deserves MOM for his performance. Good numbers of Saints up there albeit a bit on the quiet side, worth the effort in the end and is hopefuly the springboard we need to get back to winning ways.
  20. He's got a point though. The usual attention seekers can never help starting a new thread despite the subject being discussed in detail elsewhere.
  21. This isn't really Saints related is it? And has already been mentioned on various other threads.
  22. Yep, one of the pubs I'd definitely reccomend is that. Good for a few beers in the evening as well.
  23. Ed and David have another brother in politics that none of us have heard of yet?
  24. He never even really got a look in before Fox arrived.
