I am well aware of all those reasons. My question is at what point did the FA Cup start losing its appeal to such an extent for clubs like us? I'm not that old, but I remember when the FA Cup 3rd round was the biggest weekend of the season, always got people buzzing and good away support regardless of other factors. Guess its years and years of having the Premier League being pushed as the be all and end all, both consciously and sub-consciously.

But "TD Lee" might sound like "Tiddly", "Tiddly Wink" is rhyming slang for "Chink", so you've came out with more inaccurate racist abuse?

Tickets are cheap enough for this game. I've got cheap train tickets booked, but various mates are doing 4 in a car, don't work out much for petrol doing that. I remember back in the early to mid 90s playing Cov twice in the same season and if memory serves me right, the cup game was the more popular trip, same for Villa away in (I think) 2001. Something has changed and it can't just be blamed on Man United pulling out of the comp that time.

Yeah that ain't bad, worth doing for the novelty value alone, but there's better pubs dotted around not too far from that.

There's already a thread on Forest away on the away forum. Also Hooters is s**te.

How many?

Good to hear, I look forward to further updates!

I remember the time, not so long ago, that FA Cup 3rd round day was the most anticipated in the foseason. Always big away support wherever you were playing. Where has it all gone wrong.

This website cracks me up sometimes.

Where ahs the point of this thread come from? I haven't seen any new, young Saints players getting stick of any kind at the games I've been to.

Cheers for that. Always thought it sounded like a great Saints night, one that probably doesn't get enough coverage or mentions these days. Gutted to have just been a bit too young to make night games back then!
-
Was a great Cup Final that. Bit pointless doing that for Saturday's game though.
-
ANyone got any good memories of the Steve Mills game? Seen footage of it, great crowd in, quite a few came on the pitch at the end to congratulate him etc? Looked a great night.

Good shout. No-one can tell me that is a coincidence.

He's at least half Korean isn't he? Therefore probably eats dogs.

Right. So the various others that have spoken to people at the club and have been told its on hold were making it up? I drove past last week and couldn't see any signs at all of construction set-up. Would happily be proved wrong, but it does look like they're waiting until the end of the season which is fair enough.

And? That's nothing to do with the reason given for work at Staplewood being put on hold.
-
He was better at Brighton I agree. Was he injured when he got subbed or Adkins preferred Reeves?
-
He has been poor since coming back from injury, why pretend otherwise?
-
Various different sources on here have said it's on hold, with good reason.

Blackpool vs Saints now televised - 5.25pm KO

Happy enough with that, still works out well enough for a good p**s up. -
How many people are realistically going to want to or are able to stop in the ground for a pint after the game? It just about worked with a 20k crowd on Monday, increasing that by 50% I think will give them problems.
-
How old is Reeves? 20, nearly 21 I think? Should be challenging for a first team place by now and be ahead of the likes of Forte and Holmes in the pecking order if he's going to make it. I've unfortunately got a feeling that he'll leave Saints, maybe drop down to a League One club to get a full season or two under his belt before maybe making later at a higher level.

I can read perfectly well thanks. Pipe down you dweeb.

One of the many nerds on here mate. Going way off topic, I'd back Scotland to give Japan a game if the two ever met, the rankings mean f**k all.
