  1. We should have cashed in on him during the summer when we had the chance, a fee of £750/800k might have made a difference when bidding for our centre forward or centre back targets.
  2. Only a very strange person wouldn't want to take the opportunity of thrashing their local rivals away from home. Very odd.
  3. Who's saying there isn't more to life? What's that got to do with wanting to thrash the skates in their own back yard? That's what any NORMAL football fan would want.
  4. You're absolutely clueless.
  5. The more I think about this result, the more disappointed I am. When will we get a better chance to properly take the p**s out of them down there?
  6. Surely you need to look at how many minutes each player spends on the pitch? Also, Guly playing in a winning, goal scoring team, Sharpe in a team struggling at the bottom of the league?
  7. Agree with all of these. I would do a list, but there are too many to mention.
  8. Who knows, but I reckon Rhodes will hold on until the end of the season to try and finish the job at Hudds and finally get them up. If they miss out again I think there'd definitely be a chance to get him
  9. How much can you get wrong in a single post? The game was on Sunday. I think you're the only person on this whole thread that has mentioned "Stone Island" or "blacks". Odd.
  10. Just reckon we'd need to shell out more than that for Rhodes. Hudds don't need the money as far as I'm aware and he obviously seems pretty settled, how much would we have asked for Lambert this time last year if someone like QPR had come in for him? Would be more than £3m I reckon.
  11. How much do you reckon we should be prepared to pay for Rhodes? Can't see him going cheap. Also, should we be paying with the Prem in mind? In which case is League One to the Prem a fair old jump?
  12. I don't have a problem with people commenting on a game that they watched on tv, some aspects you can follow better on the box, just there's nothing unique or exceptional about your experience or analysis of Sunday, don't see why you need to have your own thread apart from "look at my blog". Plenty of good, detailed posts from others on the post-match reaction thread, their posts might get "lost" as well, doesn't mean eaach one starts their own thread. Wouldn't particularly disagree about anything you wrote apart from the comparison to other derbys, yes ours is very intense, but as are plenty of others.
  13. Pretty much agreed, but its the old "In their own back yard", there is always something about winning away at your rivals by a fair few goals that will stand out. For retribution, we need to not only beat them at ours, but ideally by a fair few and for it to have a really detrimental effect on their season, say 4-1 to send them down would have a nice ring to it............
  14. Thought bits of it were decent, but it contained nothing exceptional or of particular interest and no better analysis of the day than what plenty of others have happily put on the post-match thread. Just think some people certainly do love the attention of thinking their views are somehow more important than others. Even more strange when it was from soneome who watched it from their armchair. Apologies if that somehow offends some on here.
  15. I agree that they've got songs that are easier to sing around the ground PuP is always an easy one to sound loud, but its still not the same. They had songs starting from all over, we never get that. From in-line with the 18 yard box at the Northam end, heading down you've got 75% of St Mary's that is very quiet. Forget even singing, the amound of stick our players were getting from the skates, I can't ever imagine the Kingsland or Chapel doing the same to their lot.
  16. Why couldn't this go on the post-match reaction thread? Does writing a blog from your armchair somehow make your views more important?
  17. It wasn't really humilating though was it. In my eyes, we still owe them big time and part of me is disappointed with the draw. We really need to be able to shove thei "4-1 in your own back yard" back down their throats. Reading this website, the impression one can get from some of the posters on here is we're on our way to be the next Bacelona, while the Skates are completely out on their @rse and can barely get a team out - yet we only draw with them on Sunday?
  18. Pity we haven't been able to manage him, would definitely have been a decent option to have off the bench or filling in nicely for Chaplow. A midfield of Lallana, two of Cork/Hammond/Schneiderlin and Puncheon would be decent.
  19. Of course. But it'll be an interesting test of NC's great ambition we've been hearing about. And Adkins ability in the transfer market which I've still got a bit of a question mark over.
  20. Atmosphere on Sunday was a weird one. Was actually better before kick off than during the actual game. When we were loud, we were really loud, but there were too many quiet periods for such a big game and too many people just stand there and don't get involved. Also, none of the decent p**s taking songs about their current financial plight took off, with fans around me on the far right preferring to sing "Looks like a Wotsit" at Kitson or "I've got a Shed" than anything decent. God knows what we'll sing if we're not "top of the leeeeaaagggue" anymore, plus doesn't help we still struggle to get OWTS going properly with it ending up as a jumbled up mess. Smoke bomb/flare did the trick and got everyone going and their lot were very quiet after we scored. Having said that was one of the best goal celebrations for a long time with everyone piling over the segregated area and plenty of abuse of the skates on that side, they really are a thick, gormless bunch. However, there is one thing they do much better than us at home and that's pretty much the whole ground gets involved one way or another. Can you imagine the Kingsland giving their players as much stick as ours got from the lot on our right? Plus they get a bit of noise going from all round the ground.
  21. The problem is overall, we aren't great defensively away from home. When was the last time we had a clean sheet away from home? Barnsley in early August wasn't it? Also, it wouldn't be so much of a problem is we were more clinical with all the possession we have around their 18 yard box how many times did we test the keeper? The problem is overall our squad as a whole is lacking. I think we still need to strengthen at centre back, another forward and maybe a midfielder that gets into the box and gets on the scoresheet. Looking through our team, apart from Lambert, who else has a really good dig on them?
  22. Why?
  23. Fine, if you want to compare EXACT positions, Fonte v Rocha. Mullins v Hammond?
  24. You absolute geek.
  25. You miss my point. You said "massively superior in every position". I'd agree we're better, but our success, like their failures if far more to do with the sum of our parts being being greater than those parts being taken on an individual basis. Is Dean Hammond massively superior to Liam Lawerence? Not really is he.
