Not a difficult decision for him to take at all, so I would'nt even put him down in the same league as Maggie... The test for him now ( and I beleive this decision to be correct by the way), is to maintain this stance while still ensuring British influence holds some sway.

An FA Cup win in 2008 is hardly going to impress a potential buyer when you have so many imponderables surrounding you and a chronic lack of infrastruture in your club. If I were a serious buyer looking for a club to invest in ( and the current financial state of the world means there are very few credible ones around), I would look no further than Everton. Great history, great fan-base, excellent coaching staff, a conveyor belt of talent and for sale at a decent price with a managable debt with no dodgy former owners to consider.. Do you agree?

I think you are grasping at straws at bit there.. There are bigger and better clubs for sale out there that do not have anywhere near the baggage you are currently carrying - Everton, Forest to name but two.. Your biggest current mill-stone ( amongst the many round your neck) is that your former owner is being charged with financial crime and foreign governements are looking at the cash trail with a view to re-couping as much of it as they can. It pains me to say this but I have a feeling they will find some at your door.. That is not a USP to impress potential buyers I'm afraid.

But its like putting a false beard and glasses on an elephant and trying to hide it in a garden shed !! Where before they could side step it to a degree, the allegations of international financial crime and the governments of Lithuania and Latvia on the warpath makes this far more difficult for them to brush aside...

And as has been mentioned elsewhere, we have spent an extraordinary amount of money on the squad - Not just the £4million or so on 4 new players, but also re-newing all the contracts of our key exisiting players too.. Added to that, we know we were interested in both Sharp and Rodriguez during the summer window so it is fair to assume that money will be available this coming window too, provided the price is right. The manager has been well backed and is arguably punching us above our weight!

Don't disagree with much of that although I rather think that Cameron will be regarded as a P.M. who was obsessed by his own image without really having a beleif in anything other than how he comes across in the media!!

Highly valid points Last time it was a simple case of insolvency and how Andy and Co could weasel as many secured creditors as possible to vote for a CVA and get them through.. This time with the allegations of financial crime and Foreign governements on the rampage, it is an entire different league ( Pun Intended)

I think Andy is spinning like a spider - Just as he did last time ( LOL) - Trying to emphasise the positive and to bury the negative. As Gruffalo points out above - He seemed very hesistant in what he was saying as though he was not beleiving what he way saying either. All debts count, and your ability to service them or not is in my understanding predictive as to whether you are insolvent or not ! Football debts are a different matter as they currently jump the queue into secured creditors - A point of course that HMRC are currently challenging in court.

Says it all really... Guly adds great value to this squad - He might drift in and out of games from time to time, but hell so does Rooney, Drogba and most others.. Get behind him FFS !

While I think that you do deserve further sanctions, we need the South Coast Rivalry to be alive and kicking and I want to see you survive somewhere, and build yourselves back up again.... Think both clubs would feel a bit empty without each other TBH.. I think you will avaoid a points deduction for the CSI administration but I am not so sure you will be able to stand on your own two feet without Antonov subbing you, so thats where the points deduction might come. But I too wish you luck - I think you will need it.

The media are clearly West Ham centric - And so far we are the unexpected people ****ing on their chips of CCC domination !! The onus is on us to keep our form, deal with the setbacks like Saturday and keep ourselves up there.. I'm sure we can!
