  1. read the next part of my post. It was definitely Wanyama
  2. He already has a British Work permit - I'm guessing it'll be just formalities with his potential change of employer
  3. As I've just posted on the Sholing thread, was stood about 5ft away from Reed, NC and MoPo throught the game - overheard a conversation at the end between Reed, NC and a coach NC "i'll be there, I dunno about 8" Reed "just his passport stamped and work permit" to which I heard Wanyama's name twice, the first as a question (I think from the spanish coach) and then Reed confirming his name. by the sounds of it, Wanyama is on his way back, we need to get his Work Permit updated and passport stamped and he's ours. Tomorrow night or Thursday by the sounds of things
  4. so, just back from the game and I must say it's my first time to Sholing, what a smart little ground and a fantastic pitch. Good turnout as well. Good to see the youngsters play, some impressed, others didn't - good to see Pochettino and his 3 assistants there, along with NC and another businessman who I'm unsure of. Les Reed popped along hastily in the last 10 mins. On the pitch, Stephens, Isgrove and Rowe impressed me the most - all very good and I can see why all 3 are rated so highly. The latter is electric, a bit selfish, but a cracking little winger. Direct, skillful and powerful for someone of his size. Stephens lead the team well, he's a confident leader who clearly has learnt from Jaidi. The lad Mugabi who came on a CB is the only one who gets anywhere near the size of RJ - we must have had an average height of about 5"5. Off the pitch, I was stood about 5ft away from MP (who for the record speaks very good English) all I got from him at the start was "it's a wonderful day" - he said maybe to Wanyama but Messi "doesn't want to join". Overheard an interesting conversation between Reed, NC and one of the coaching staff. Reed said "we just need to get his passport stamped and work permit [something]" to which I heard Wanyama's name mentioned twice....read into that what you will.
  5. 2-0 HT Pochettino and NC here. Speaking in Italian.
  6. £5 adults, £4 concessions
  7. talking of car park....how is the parking down there?
  8. Tuesday 9th July 19:30 Going to pop along to this one tomorrow, will be good to see the next crop of youngsters show what they can do. Will post a report tomorrow night anyone else going?
  9. not worse, can't see him having quite the same season as Michu has had.
  10. If he could sort his fitness out, he'd probably be a good signing. Although he isn't the type of forward we seem to be after
  11. There wasn't as much hype about Michu
  12. Not overly convince by him. If he's as good as everyone thinks he is he'd have gone to a bigger team. Goal scoring record isn't overly impressive
  13. Yes. Sharp scored 10 league goals in 39 games - hardly prolific
  14. as apposed to something like, I dunno...Leon Best?
  15. You do realise this isn't the Ipswich forum don't you?
  16. who did he score the other 3 goals for then?
  17. In the Dutch league. Afonso Alves and Giorgios Samaras had similar goal-scoring record.
  18. so no Ramirez? Swap Cork with Spiderman and fill the AM with Gaston/Davis
  19. I'm not so convinced about him, the reason only lower end PL teams are chasing him are because they've seen his record
  20. Ron Davies for me - If not maybe Le Tiss?
  21. Channel Islands - cheap, easily accessible, great weather
  22. dropping Lambert back? what an awful suggestion - I walk faster than he runs.
  23. The only decent game he had involving Saints was against us when he played for Plymouth
