How many did Baird or McGoldrick play?
-
To be fair to the lad, his goal scoring record at Ipswich was superb. I think Sunderland signing him for the price they did put a huge amount of pressure on him and he hasn't really had a look in. I was listening to the commentary on TalkSport yesterday and Collymore hit the nail on the head - although he's scored 3 goals in a week we need to stay grounded (if it was 8 goals in 8 games then maybe) but he seems a confidence player, if someone was to give him a chance I think he'll do well. Do we need him? No - only maybe for cover for Jrod.

could see this one coming a mile off - i'm not too fussed, fair play to Cardiff and good luck to them for the rest of the season. Haven't seen many posts crying that we're not first on MOTD this week
-
I got a lot of stick last year for saying he wasn't good enough because he can't catch or save a ball....yet again been proved right
-
Reading through here and online is cringeworthy. Yes, the 2nd goal was offside, and the official made a mistake, but that's all it was. They way some people are going on its as if the lino saw it was offside, then realised its Man City and thought "no I must help out the big sides" and kept his flag down.

Pochettino on his future as Southampton manager

how can you get a vibe from someone when you're just reading words on a computer screen. Those comments don't really fill me with confidence. -
every week the same people cry that we're not on first or second on MOTD. We could draw 0-0 with Norwich and they'd still moan....

20 minutes of brilliance but 60 minutes of utter garbage - was almost like watching two completely separate teams out there. If we go in at Half-time 2-0 up its a different game. Some major investment is needed into the defence (GK and CB especially). You always have that feeling that we have a mistake in ourselves. Lack of concentration is preventing us from going to the next level. how many weeks are we going to swtich off and get punished at this level. Players may think they have nothing to play for, but there's several out there who need a bloody good kick up the backside as they think they are invincible

the only disgrace is you.

I was being sarcastic, he's average in that league at best
-
Whoever said Alex McCarthy needs their head looked at, average Championship keeper at best. Had 1 good game in the PL but that's as far as it goes. I still think Charlie Austin will be a decent (not world-beating) PL striker (about 12-16 league goals) Morgan and Drinkwater from Leicester look to be fairly decent, and Will Hughes of Derby looks like a top player. Also heard the fat striker for Donny is capable of doing a job in the PL

Will any of you be tracking / keeping an eye on Osvaldo ?
supersonic replied to Saints boy in Leeds's topic in The Saints
I certainly will not be, not a Saints player anymore in my eyes (even if it is only a provisional loan move). I don't keep tabs on any other loan players. I'm sure there are some which will be fascinated with his every move, but more for them. -
not condoning the chanting, but surely people are entitled to their own opinions on people?

and to think people, including Adkins, thought PG was a better option than him....

Would like to see some of the youngsters start. Sinclair and Rowe especially after their performances for the Under 21's yesterday

Former Saint Danny Higginbotham set to make international debut

he qualifies via his Gibraltarian born Grand-Mother. The Express stated it was his Spanish mother who allowed him to qualify, which upset the natives as you can imagine -
oh FFS

Ramirez for Rodriguez at HT please. JRod hasn't controlled a single ball yet so far. very, very poor
-
Will do him the world of good to go on loan. Perhaps then he could learn to catch a ball, or pass to one of our team mates.

Axel Witsel is guilty of one of the worst...you tube it if you aren't too squeamish
-
I'd say Isgrove is good enough - better than what we could buy unless we spend big. Omar Rowe can't be that far off the first team either
