The amount of bashing Hodgson gets from Saints fans is nothing short of embarrassing. He's paid to win football matches, and at the moment he's doing that. I struggle to see what mistakes he made? He called Clyne up for matches against San Marino AND Estonia. 2 RB's and 2 games. Logic says you play one in each to see how they get on, it's only fair. The only thing to question from last night is why bother playing with full backs against a team that offer nothing going forward.

Not a bad game. Job Done is the best way to describe it. Delph played well - good player in his own right - not the answer to our midfield by a long shot but certainly has played well over the past 2 seasons and played ok last night. How does Wilshere get a game for Arsenal let alone England is beyond me - the next David Bentley in my eyes. Cork perhaps should get a call up, as should Huddlestone if he plays like he did last season. Sturridge and Rooney cannot play together - rooney drops deep to get the ball and Sturridge pulls out wide meaning nobody is left in the box. Welbeck and Rooney are our best strike force. No reason why we can't go on and get maximum points from this group now.

The Eagles will get nowhere near the SB - they make far too many mistakes and will get punished against better teams. Falcons and 49ers looked decent - looking forward to seeing ATL @ Wembley

Good luck, but about time he went. Hope he does well but recent form will suggest otherwise and Leeds look a pretty poor side tbh. 4 good games for Saints in 2.5 years. Nowhere near legend status people make out. Also, for those saying he's the model pro, why is he constantly overweight?
