  1. For Sharp also see Adkins. Both did a job but neither are anywhere near good enough for the PL.
  2. 1. No 2. Yes. He was/is an average Championship player who was playing above his ability at Donny when we signed him. 3. No, as above - no idea what all the fuss is about - just remember Tadanari Lee was ahead of him in the pecking order. 4. No - he isn't Premier League standard and won't be for as long as he has a hole in his backside.
  3. **** sake! same ****, different day.
  4. First priority has to be signing a striker, one that preferably knows where the goal is.
  5. People genuinely believe there is a conspiracy against Saints?
  6. Correct. This for me is the most worrying bit, for someone so big he's pretty ****ing awful in the air.
  7. Not pointless at all. I'm not disagreeing that we are below par in the final third. For me, Pelle isn't good enough, at the start of the season there wasn't much pressure on him and teams didn't know how to manage him and he played well, now the pressure is on and he's been sussed out he isn't performing. I also think his body language is negative. He just mopes about up front, waving his arms around at others waiting for the ball to be lumped up to him only for him to make a half-hearted effort to head it.
  8. Targett sadly isn't good enough at the moment, feel a bit for him slipping for the 2nd goal. First goal was class - no keeper in the world would have stopped that. we just look so abject going forward, 3 home league games without scoring, not enough support coming from midfield. New guy looked decent, as did Clyne. Anyone who genuinely believes we can make the CL needs to see a doctor.
  9. I appreciate there is another thread on him but I feel this needs a separate thread. Now over 9 league games without a goal for Graziano. Is he a good Premier League striker who is going through a bad patch, or an average/poor player who was playing extremely well at the start of the season?
  10. We'll get beat 3-0
  11. Quite hypercritical of Chelsea to condemn the racist behaviour and still employ John Terry...
  12. Love it. When the Mail (or any media outlet for that matter) state something positive about Saints everyone laps it up, if it was an article linking a player with a transfer away it would be deemed "the daily fail" and journalist slated. Make your mind up people.
  13. Couldn't give a **** what his reception is. He left the club and we've more than moved on. I'll be concentrating on supporting our current players for the 90 minutes rather than ex-players.
  14. Depends who you mean by the football club - there are 6 separate companies and 1 holdings company which all employ separate people.
  15. As it says above. Apparently didn't deny a goal scoring opportunity....
  16. You think it's unfair to criticize a striker who, by the time he plays our next game against Liverpool, will have gone 2 months without a league goal?
  17. As others have said, this is the exact problem. not Pelle's fault but with no competition he's lacked that extra drive as he knows that unless he's injured/suspended he'll be picked every week.
  18. He's a striker who's paid a considerable amount of money to do a job. The main part of his job is to score goals which he isn't doing. Coupled with that, his performances have been pretty poor recently too (apart from Man Utd & Newcastle games) which is also worrying. It's not all his fault, others aren't performing well and I think RK needs to take his share of the blame, sometimes our system of play isn't right and it needs changing. however, as a fan who pays a lot to go and watch the team every week - I'm a stakeholder and I will give stick out to players when they deserve it as much as I will praise when it's due (ie Reed who was superb yet again tonight)
  19. A striker who hasn't scored for over 8 league games (and who didn't really look like scoring in the last 3 games) deserves stick IMO.
  20. "Aston Villa is a 'triffic club and I'm delighted to be here. The knee is much better now thanks"... Hardly surprising he's gone after their recent form - and not at all surprising the player's lack of motivation, he's the most boring person I've ever had the misfortune to meet.
  21. I wonder all those that weren't worried when I initially posted this have changed their mind? Now over 730 minutes (Over 8 games) since his last goal and he looks like a shadow of the striker he was at the start of the year. No confidence what so ever. Not getting a striker in Jan will cost us at least a CL place.
  22. Radio stream http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31167291
  23. They offered him to us last year....
