  1. Stunning save, but if he had scored it would have been 1 goal in 3 months - hardly something to rave about. He's not good enough for where we are in the league, or where we want to go.
  2. As per the OS, the money is still owed to Vibrec. I'll take their sentance over the Echo.
  3. The OS States we still owe the money and no reports suggest the loan from KL has paid this off.
  4. Very interesting to see we owe Vibrac Corporation £19m. Reading have just received a fine for trading with them as they have links to other premier league clubs. This breaks football league regulations. Could Saints be about to be fined too?
  5. He was marking Matic and then failed to track his running leaving him completely free to score
  6. Fonte looked a bit over-whelmed during the game - was at fault for the goal. However, the people of Portugal seem to like him and want a pairing of him and Pepe which is good news for JF.
  7. So why hasn't he scored for 1,000 minutes then?
  8. Has anyone checked when the Spanish "April Fools Day" is?
  9. Jersey's Ex-Saint Jack Boyle is causing quite a stir in the Channel Islands by admitting he's all but agreed a deal to join Guernsey FC. Unconfirmed reports he's even received threats of physical violence! Remember seeing him play a couple of times for the youth sides and thinking he looked fairly decent but nothing ever materialised for him at Saints (surprising based upon the number of youngsters who were given first team appearances). Think he was a bit unlucky with injuries and had a brief stint with Airdrieonians in 2012. Always nice to read up on what ex-Saints are doing nowadays.
  10. By far the best signing we've made in the 21st century (Thank you Rupert). Deserves to be playing Champions League and I can understand his frustration with some of the players that are playing it! Already resigned myself to the fact he'll be gone in the summer. Great player, great memories. Very lucky to have watched him develop into a truly superb player.
  11. Djuricic is only on loan, Gazzanigga has an Italian passport.

    J Rod

I very much doubt we'll see him play this season.
  13. Messi's insurance is taken out by himself (although probably arranged by FCB) which is insuring his contract and loss of earnings if he has to retire due to inujry. Gordon Watson didn't get an insurance pay-out, he sued the player (Kevin Gray) and his club (Huddersfield) for negligence in court and won. There's a massive difference between insurance claims and civil negligence.
  14. Can't tell us what he said but confirming that Koeman has told you he's signing for us next year.....
  15. Hodgson could pick 10 Saints players and people onhere would still moan.
  16. No. We'll finish 7th
  17. The reason we haven't heard anything is because the club/player probably don't know themselves. Rather than a general member of society going to the hospital and undergoing an x-Ray and several other excersises, FF is likely to undergone a multitude of tests and get opinions from many experts. He's not likey to play again this season so why the big rush?
  18. No evidence at all to suggest he is having a dig at Hodgson. Typical journalist getting 5 after multiplying 2 by itself then making a big fuss about it.
  19. do-do-do-do f*****g useless...
  20. Nigel Adkins was also a GK and he didn't do anything for him. I wish PG all the best but there is a reason why he's 3rd/4th choice. He's only really had a run out for the U21's since Cropper got injured.
  21. Good win against what is a good and well organised Burnley team. I like what Dyche has done there and the way they play football. Genuinely hope they stay up - Dyche and a few of their players are refreshing for the premier league - they all look like they want to play for him and the club which is more than can be said of a lot of players at clubs fighting for survival. I'd take them in the PL over Sunderland and/or Hull every day of the week. Forster's injury looks bad - let's hope he recovers better than Rodriguez is with his Knee injury. I'd stick with KD until the end of the season and give Boruc a 1 year extension in the summer. Long was superb, as was S.Davies - Toby has to be our #1 target in the summer. Pelle - let's not even go there....
  22. Can't save, catch, kick or throw. Apart from that he's alright
  23. Let's get a few things straight here as there have been some cringeworthy comments by "fans" about this topic both on here and on twitter (which as we all know is full of fools especially on the #Saintsfc hashtag) I think Bertrand deserves an England call up. He has certain questions still over his defensive ability in my eyes, but over the course of this season he's played well enough, I think, to deserve recognition and, credit where credit is due, Aaron Cresswell has been equally as impressive and has every right to feel as aggrieved as Bertrand. However, let's not start wetting the bed like some are over it. Roy Hodgson has an extensive scouting network with either himself or scouts at EVERY game, making extensive notes on EVERY player in his thoughts. He also has a coach working at Saints so will get the low-down on behind the scene's stuff at Saints. To start calling him a "clown" or "clueless" is nothing short of embarrassing. Football, as we all know is an industry which quickly gets rid of those who are not good enough, Hodgson has nearly 40 years experience in professional management, as much as he isn't a world beater, he clearly isn't clueless. It also seems as if some Saints fans are fickle and have short memories. In the past 2 season Hodgson has given 6 Saints players their first caps (Lallana, Lambert, Rodriguez, Shaw, Clyne - Forster was at Celtic when received first cap) so clearly he doesn't have "big club bias" or is "anti-saints" as some have also suggested. This is something no England manager in certainly the past 20 years wouldn't dream of doing and it's something which should be praised. In terms of the LB selections, it's refreshing that we have so many options, I remember not too long ago when it looked like that would be a problem position for us, until Ashley Cole came along. Hodgson clearly has his preferred XI in mind and Baines is, rightly so, his first choice LB so with reassurances about his fitness he got the call. Danny Rose, despite Spurs' defence leaking a few goals is also having a great season. Gibbs is the strange one - however I'm sure there are reasons that we'll never know. Just because someone who knows far more than you about the subject makes a decision you don't believe in doesn't make them "clueless".
  24. Pelle's goal drought now stands at over 1,000 minutes....
