  8. Valentino Rossi is recovering in hospital after surgery to repair the compound fracture of his right leg he suffered on Saturday. The 31-year-old reigning MotoGP world champion faces up to three months out after crashing in practice for Sunday's Italian MotoGP at Mugello. When qualifying for Sunday's race took place in the afternoon, Dani Pedrosa set the fastest time, ahead of Lorenzo and Casey Stoner. All three riders sent their sympathy and best wishes to their rival. I actually think that Lorenzo will be upset as if he wins the Championship this year there will a bit of a cloud over it. People will always say yes he won, but only because Rossi had been injured. Full story :- http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/motorbikes/8723843.stm
  9. Well Mr Martin, Israel has ignored several U.N. Resolutions over the years so be prepared to be ignored as well.
  10. Unite union is threatening industrial action to coincide with next year's Rugby World Cup. Quote The union's general secretary. Matt McCarten, said the union is planning "a big push" on behalf of its members in hotels, SkyCity Casino and other entertainment venues. Interviewed for TV3's The Nation, he said current employment agreements had been "lined up" so they were due for renegotiation at about the time of the World Cup. "We don't want to wreck the World Cup, of course not. But we certainly are going to be lining up the employers at that time and saying: 'Well, you're going to make a lot of money, what's going to be the workers' share?'." Mr McCarten said he expected employers to be "more focused" ahead of the World Cup. Unite hoped to be able to convince the public that it would be unfair for foreign-owned hotel chains to charge between $1000 and $2000 per night while continuing to pay workers the minimum or minimal wages. The union said it would be unacceptable for people to work for less than $15 per hour, (approx 6.90 GBP ) and in addition it wanted 10 percent of higher room rates to go into a special fund to be shared amongst workers. Mr McCarten said millions of dollars of taxpayers' money would contribute to the World Cup's success, and it would be wrong for all profits to go offshore. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/7350343/union-threatens-action-during-rugby-world-cup/ Unquote I doubt that Hotels will even try to charge that much per night even in Auckland

  17. I know this will perhaps sound a bit stupid and sorry if it has been asked and answered before. Posters on here can see that AA doesn't appear to be doing the best for creditors so how come his professional collegues have not taken him to one side and had a quiet word ? Mark Fry never seemed to act like AA is doing. Also if Chaneri is bankrolling them at the moment can he claim that back as a footballing debt and in so doing reduce the HMRC percentage and is this also part of the reason HMRC are now trying to get the football creditor rule declared void?
  18. http://news.nationalpost.com/2010/06/01/win-a-soccer-game-by-more-than-five-points-and-you-lose-ottawa-league-says/ Absolutely crazy, bet I can think of one poster on here that will agree with that though. No names, no infractions.
