  3. Christmas Day only has just over 2 hours to go here so I have taken down the tree and decorations as I have to work tomorrow.
  4. Alas no it isn't like a postage stamp it is stamped into the wallet itself. Loved the replies but can't afford to disown the wife and didn't look closely enough to see if it had a coin compartment. I do have a Saints badge that I could super-glue to the wallet though
  5. As it has been Christmas Day for over 8 hours here I have just opened some presents but now I need advice from you good folks. When she was in the UK earlier this year my wife visited some old friends of hers. I have never met them but they have very kindly sent me a Christmas present - all good SO FAR. However when opening said pressie I found a wallet, which I do really need, snag is the wallet has Portsmouth FC stamped on it as my wife forgot to say I love Saints and they just assumed I supported PFC as we used to live in Gosport ARRGGHH. Now 1. Do I use it and cover up the PFC bit with red tape ? 2. Can I trust it with my money or will the money just disappear into a black hole like what happens at PFC ? 3. Shall I throw it away ? 4. Shall I keep it unused so it becomes a collectors item when they are liquidated ? I have of course washed my hands before using this keyboard but I will be unable to wash my hands after every use of this wallet IF I keep it of course.
  6. Not strictly true, nurses have been known to murder their patients and they don't give sympathy when their husbands hurt themselves.
  7. Agree and also his head gave quite a jerk and necks are a bit fragile if hit hard from an angle as RVP was.
  8. Ah Tamesaint do we really want good old Neil working elsewhere?? I mean look how we enjoy reading his "articles". ( I was going to say absolute drivel but as it's Christmas..... )

  10. Ah but will they be able to understand the meaning of it ?
  11. Politicians always seem to go for those least able to defend themselves. The older I have got the more I distrust any of the bas**rds, don't care which effing party they are in. Oh yes and they always really try and look after each other first. :x:x
  12. Well it is almost seven and a half hours into Friday the 21st here and SO FAR all appears ok - well apart from the light rain.
  13. Tiny 5mm spider builds a 2.5cm, articulated fake arachnid Spider pulls the strings to make the puppet seem alive So far only seen in a tiny area of the Amazon in Peru IS this the world's tiniest puppeteer? An Amazon spider has been caught pulling the strings behind intricately built arachnid decoys. Biologist and science educator Phil Torres says the artful arachnid is the first discovered that builds "replica" spiders with eight legs. Mr Torres has recorded the spiders amazing work in a blog for ecological tourism firm Rainforest Expeditions which operates a combined lodge and research centre in the Tambopata national park in Peru. "It (first appeared) to be a medium sized spider about an inch across, possibly dead and dried out, hanging in the centre of a spider web along the side of the trail. Nothing too out of the ordinary for the Amazon," he said. "As you approach, the spider starts to wobble quickly forward and back, letting you know this spider is, in fact, alive." http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/tiny-amazon-spider-observed-building-bigger-spiders-as-decoys/story-e6frep26-1226540217776 Amazing creatures
  14. People who dress up at Christmas time are only looking a bit silly for a week or so. People who are in their 30's driving make believe BMW's all year look a lot more.
  15. Well it is far far too late for my RN father who not only was on the convoys to Russia but also one to Malta. He was invalided out in 1945 and died in 1991. He had health problems due to swallowing fuel oil during one rescue after his RN ship had been torpedoed.

  17. ALLY McCOIST hailed the Rangers supporters for digging deep to raise £5million for their share issue. The club have raised a total of £22million in total with £17m from investors. And boss McCoist — who saw his side beat Annan for a seventh straight win — couldn’t believe the contribution from fans. He said: “It was a great day off the park and for the fans to chip in around £5million is absolutely staggering. “They have only had the opportunity to do that in the last week or so. “And to do it in the week up to Christmas where finances are tight, and with the recession, is another incredible show of support for this football club. 18. From their own website:- Affinion International is renowned for directly increasing our partners' bottom line profitability. By utilizing our partners' brand names to offer our products and services, we strengthen the relationship between our partners and their customer base, resulting in increased brand loyalty and raised profits. Perhaps the PDT should have got advice from that lot first ??
  19. IF Trousers lets his son on here and he turns out to be as prolific a poster as his dad then we will struggle to get much of a look in especially if the lad posts in the pimpey thread
  20. Surely even the dim down there will wait to see what happens with the Court before handing over their gift? Oh sorry a typo should read buy share not gift

  22. Would like to join in but I don't/won't have anything to do with that face thingy and I also live in NZ. I know one fan who is originally from Southampton but he now lives in Adelaide and I have no idea if he is on that face thingy. I will contact him and ask.
  23. I also agree with the above sentiments. Never a good time of the year for such a sad event and being so near to Christmas must make it even worse.

  25. You would think that Trevor, in the spirit of Christmas, would bankroll them from his fees as it looks like it was a mistake by him that got the Court date put back.
