I agree but what I think it is with Redmond as opposed to Long is his whole demeanour. He always, and I mean always, looks to blame someone else when he makes an error. To me he always gives the impression of thinking he’s better than he actually is. Now whether that was cultivated by Puel who thought he was Henry Mk 2 I don’t know but that’s my theory

If they think signing VVD will solve their issues they are in for a shock. They need a keeper, a full back or two and that midfield sorted. It might help if they had a coach who knew something about defending as well. On the plus side today probably put his price up a few million more such is their desperation.

This manager and the last simply do not play a style which suits Austin, ie get in the penalty area as soon as you can and be the Johnny on the spot to put the ball in the net. You had me nodding agreement right up until the mention of Redmond. Just no. As niether he or Long contribute much/anything from the goalscoring point of view at least Long makes himself a pain in the ass for defenders to deal with. Redmond however is just a pain in the ass.

Lemina is too good for us. Bertrand is going through the motions if anyone is, never mind VVD The only difference from last season is the accent of the manager.
