  1. and according to his wife on twitter he cheats at Monopoly. I would string him up and let children throw rotten tomatoes at him until he’s really really sorry.
  2. Very out of character. Ban him for the season ? Are some people for fkin real on this site ? It’s hardly Paul Davis breaking Cockerill’s jaw all those years ago.
  3. you didn’t go to the last six home matches of last season ? That really was turgid rubbish, pre cup final yeah, I can see what you are saying, but the last third of the season the home matches were shocking.
  4. Yeah, I’m no fan of Redmond but that’s harsh, he did everything right there, unfortunately it was down to Charlie screwing his shot wide, simple as that.
  5. apart from Sims who is just coming back from injury there aren’t any. When Koeman stated that he was heavily criticised. He didn’t have any issue with introducing youngsters at Everton in his first full season after all. Reed and Gallagher are on loan, Hesketh ? Might be worth a go but I’m not holding my breath on him making it. This is the thing with Academies, you can gave three or four really fruitful years but you are almost certain to have a couple of years of average.
  6. yep, if he is out for 6 weeks or so that’s us scoring any goals down the pan. Striker definitely needed at start of January. I fear we are in the ****e big time.
  7. Has he gone yet ?
  8. every game except our biggest win........
  9. Without the pace of Cedric and Bertrand it’s a given he will play
  10. add to that a half arsed VVD and a not fully fit Lemina and we really are.
  11. 12. Hope Redmond has a relegation release clause written into his contract
  12. Yep, no good being plucky and deemed to be unlucky against the Man City's of this world if you cant follow it up with a win against a Stoke or Swansea etc
  13. Agree, in a way that 4-1 against Everton was the worst thing that could have happened.
  14. At the end of the day this is absolutely true. Its been an incredible journey BUT the problem is that the club, and whether this is Les Reed steering it or not, have believed their own publicity a little too much. They have got to the stage like a gambler on a winning streak who thinks he can bet on anything and never lose. He always does eventually. The last two years have shown this. Now whether Koeman saw it coming or not obviously I dont know but his timing was excellent for getting out. Since his departure we have gone backwards. We have appointed two managers who are average at best when we should have been looking for another established name. Our stock was high, higher than it has ever been probably but bad appointments and bad signings have wiped that away. You take a long time to build up a reputation, its a far shorter timescale to wipe it out. That old Southampton mentality of doing things on the cheap reared its ugly head again and has put us where we are now. Too much emphasis on the Academy that hasnt produced a really top player for a few years now and this ridiculous insistence that 50% of the first team will be made up of Academy players. Not going to happen if you want to maintain a top ten Premier League finish. If we arent there already then we will soon be at the point we were throughout the 90's whereby we just hope to survive in the Premier League season by season. Thats fine in its own way, there are what ? 72 clubs outside the Premier League would happily swap places with us. The problem with that is throughout our great escapes we had that guy from the Channel Islands to save us year after year. There arent too many of him around, certainly not at Southampton right now.
  15. as usual you miss the point. In those games he has played he has for 90% of the time had absolutely no support, he has been expected to hold the ball up, for what or whom is anyone’s guess, then instead of getting any help as we chase the game he is taken off. He is being asked to play a role he is clearly not good at. Playing Austin has at long last moved us a little way up the field as the penny has dropped that Austin is more a penalty box player. Hey how about playing both as a partnership and see how that works out ? So no I don’t think Gabbiadini should be playing instead I think he should play as well as. Got it ?
  16. im not surprised, has been treated abysmally by this clown of a manager
  17. absolutely. It’s all very well this manager being good at setting up to frustrate the big teams but we are still losing. 1-0 or 4-0 equals the same number of points gained - 0. clueless when it comes to setting up against teams we have to attack and beat. Listening to how good Huddersfield were today I’m fearful of what might happen next week. So all in all he’s not very good whatever quality of the opposition! Wonderful
  18. he is, Yoshida, Hoedt and Stephens
  19. normally I would be most concerned to see that percentage but the way things are I wouldn’t be upset to see the back of the majority of this squad. if this was FIFA 17 you would start the game all over again if you had gotten into the mess the club have with this squad.
  20. he was awful Wednesday in fairness, but yeah some of those selections/omissions are unbelievable
  21. whilst I don’t agree with the decision if we are playing as we did at City then Charlie wouldn’t be the best on the break
  22. Typical Dutch player then, they all have this ability to sulk and be a major pain in the arse
  23. I like Steven Davis but that was the worst game I have seen him have in a Saints shirt. Really struggling to find a positive about anyone tonight, Bertrand was poor but not as poor as the rest.
  24. you enjoy finding what you perceive as moral high ground over fellow supporters and hammering it home don’t you. as you are so pleased for Puel go and support Leicester.
  25. He quite clearly did, watch the replays again, that was no accident.
