I hope he is on a long contract, he looks a fantastic player to me, I think he is better than JWP, I know they are different types of player but he looks more of a prospect at this stage. I hope I'm wrong but JWP could end up being, for the older ones on here, another Neil Maddison. Full of promise and potential but never quite made the grade as he should.

So on my way to St Mary's last night from the railway station through town I was stopped by three people who were intent on getting money out of people. The first one was a woman in her mid thirties who I have seen stop people before. Apparently she needed £2 to get a bus to the Hospital as she was pregnant and needed a scan (at 6.30 in the evening). I was even invited to watch her get on the relevant bus The second was a guy who thought my Saints shirt was either Sheff Utd or Man Utd cos "it was the same colours" but could I spare a couple of quid for a coffee anyway The third was a guy near Bargates who wondered if I could spare £2 for something to eat and a coffee........he was a short man but no word of a lie he had to be at least 18 stone ! He was bloody massive and clearly not someone who went hungry very often ! So is this a regular thing in Southampton or were they out in force cos they knew there was a game last night ?

We missed Long to come off the bench and give us a different option, we missed a left back (Yoshida played well but its not his position) to give us the proper attacking width we needed but it cant be helped, injuries and suspensions do that. Its ridiculous the stick some people are giving him. He has played every game, he gets bashed and battered with very little protection and he tracks back and gets through a hell of a lot of work. He is going to have games where he looks tired or ineffective but bloody hell name one player in any league in the world who doesnt ?

Maybe I have mis-understood this January transfer window. The club have stated they are aware of who their summer targets are to take the club on again. Any January transfer business was always going to be about adding some squad strength wasnt it ? People slagging off this guy from Benfica before he gets here but if he is just to increase squad options then whats the problem.....and its only a loan besdies !!

Didn't exoect Swansea to be so negative, especially first half, the clearly came for a point. thought Clyne, second half, was woeful especially going forward. Very unusual fir him to be so poor.

I will say it now, that boy will play for England and a club bigger than us unfortunately. He looks like he has played in the team for three years never mind three full games.
