actually it's not, it's a fair comment. We looked toothless Wednesday and again today. Redmond looks a good signing but he's not a big goal scorer. Tadic is a fine player but not a goal scorer which leaves Long who won't net you a shed load of goals. Austin playing deep is a waste of time, he's a goal poacher plain and simple. And Jay Rod is so far away from the player he was before that injury it's untrue. so you tell me which one or two of that little lot are going to get the goals Pelle and Mane scored along with Shane Long or do you expect him to double his goal tally, and if he does that only covers Pelle or Mane.

couldnt agree more, absolutely toothless in attack, not sure if it's the personnel or the system though.

I dont think its a case of panic, its more like people are thinking or saying "yeah this is ok BUT who is going to score?" If anyone thinks Jay Rod is going to start banging in goals someday soon their levels of optimism are sky high. Tadic, Redmond and Long are not out and out goalscorers, Austin might well be but not playing out wide and he isnt going to be making killer runs into the box, he has no pace, he has to be there or there abouts to score and this system does not seemingly cater for that. I personally think Pelle will be missed far more than many are prepared to admit, Mane certainly will.

I must say it concerns me too. I like the look of Redmond, i think Tadic will be even better with a new manager as he and Ron clearly didnt get on all the time, and I like Long but none of them are going to score us 15-20 goals, certainly not two of them. Not sure the system will suit Austin's poaching instincts and Jay Rod ? Well who knows what he will be like. I sincerely hope the playing it cool on getting another striker is just a case of the club playing their cards close to their chest. The scoring bit is my only concern, i like what he is doing with the midfield and the defence is sound.

yeah unbelievable. big season for Clasie I feel if he wants to hold down a regular spot. Never got going last year but I think he has the ability to prove a few wrong, hopefully.
