Totally agree. Like i said yesterday Southampton FC have to stand firm on this and not cave in - its about more than just this club and VVD now. IF we do decide to sell it cannot be to Liverpool its as simple as that BUT ultimately they have to keep the player regardless of his mental state blah blah blah. We are led to believe this is out of character for VVD. If thats the case he will get his head down and play once these Scouse ****ers sod off.
-
Oh ffs we all know why - MONEY / GREED mate, thats all
-
This is now about more than just VVD and Southampton. If the club caves in from their stance and let him go it will send out a message to every single player who wants to leave any club. If they hold firm and maintain he sorts his head out as he is not for sale that sends out a positive message for all clubs in this very situation. Its about time these bloody petulant child like footballers are introduced to the word no !
-
That and the usual case of wanting the new manager to assess what he has already....
-
my feeling exactly
-
Well it makes a change from the novice Sherlock Holmes's on here building a whole web of intrigue and suspicion over everything VVD related
-
no just Jay Rod and before him Fonte outgoing

first off the bus in the club video, didn't appear to be moving too well, maybe rested as precaution ?
-
hope he does well up there especially after Puel fed him to the wolves in that Arsenal cup game.

Been wondering if Juanmi would get a mention -
good for you, be happy
-
no they don't, at Atletico maybe but his loan spell and earlier career looks decent for a 23 yr old. but hey, don't let it stop you writing him off already :mcinnes:

Its quite sad how a great club with such a proud history has basically descended into the gutter. Ban them from ALL transfer activity for 6 months or a year. It will send out a message to others. i bet if it was us or a WBA they bloody would.
-
If he hands in a transfer request we refuse it, means nothing unless the club hold him to it when selling next summer and he then forfeits his bonuses etc. That would be quite funny actually bearing in mind he is almost nailed on to go next summer anyway.
-
Agreed BUT when a player signs a deal for six years, not four, then he must expect the club to want to keep him for 2 years at least. I'm sure another season at the SFC boot camp wont kill him

Rubbish.

Its true unfortunately. He was good for the majority of last season but he is never more than one pass away from a horrendous cock up once a match. If we are looking for 12-17th then fine. If we are looking top ten he has to stay third choice I believe. Having said that yes of course he deserves a contract extension, as cover.
-
Good move for him, got a mate who supports Barnsley and they absolutely love him up there
-
Hope he does well, cruel injury he suffered and hasn't really gotten close to being the player he was before it. Not sure WBA style will suit him but hope he finds form, confidence and goals......oh and can keep his family off Twitter as it wouldn't be a wise move to have them slag off Pulis when he's dropped or out of the starting eleven

Yes I'm quite surprised that she was a director of the football club.
