  1. Dont be picky, you know what point hes making and its a very good one.
  2. he had to say clubs in the plural rather than club otherwise everyone would know who he meant so I wouldn't read too much into that.
  3. was McCarthy the other player involved in the clash of knees injury which has put Sims out for a while ?
  4. you must be from Liverpool, that first sentence is desperate and stupid enough it's beyond words.
  5. yes we did.....for a start we probably would have won a Cup Final with him.....irony is that would have seen him playing European football again as per his agents statement.
  6. Dont keep putting this at Les Reed's door. He cannot make the decision on his own if at all.
  7. of course we can hold on to him. It's a transfer REQUEST. The club do not have to accept it and unless someone meets their asking price I suspect they will.
  8. Thats what they should say yes. He is under contract to play football matches, he is refusing to do that, what a snivelling little ****.
  9. I look forward to the club statement. Surely they will respond to this toy throwing exercise.
  10. He seemingly has forgotten the paragraph that refers to the six year contract he signed a year ago. Funny that considering he is painting himself as good cop whilst Southampton FC are portrayed as bad cop. Hes a ****.
  11. so either he's saying sorry Virgil old son but we don't need you anymore or Mr Cuddles is lying to his own supporters. Pathetic.
  12. Oh, thats potentially interesting. A little softening of attitude from the Dutchman maybe ?
  13. it does but let's not get silly
  14. Seriously ? We have jumped from Mark Wright to Beckenbaueresque in three days ? Hope we can hold on to him until the close of the transfer window cos give him two more weeks he will be the best player the world has ever seen
  15. lets hope this happens
  16. It's a fair article, if we aren't in a predicament yet it certainly signposts the issues

    New Captain

Yes would have to be Romeu for me.
  18. Dear oh dear, is that all they have to worry about ? Dont tell me, it will assist the Linesman
  19. That's pretty depressing reading in all honesty.
  20. Danny Ings, current club Liverpool. The only reason needed to make this very doubtful indeed.
  21. It might be a pre season friendly and the result is meaningless but **** me there were some serious concerns with that midfield and defence. Reminded me of pre season a few years back when that centre half we had on loan from Reading - Bennett was it - played and we lost 4-1 at home the week before the season started. Still it's ok cos Stephens and Yoshida together will sort it out apparently.
  22. I hope it is, no problem with that at all would love to be proved wrong.
  23. It will be a close run thing. I realise some posters are pinning their hopes on Stephens being the next Mark Wright but the reality of the situation is Yoshida and Stephens are not a partnership that will get a club into the top 8 of the Premier League over a whole season. If people honestly believe they are its a case of being deluded in my opinion.
  24. Bloody hell for a player who only got a regular place back in February because of injury and no cover Stephens is certainly being bigged up on here. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, I think a fair few have missed him in the past couple of months. I hope I'm wrong but to me he looks a very good Championship player and decent enough cover for a Prem team, no more or no less. He does some things well, equally there are areas of his game that don't look too hot, positional play and heading are quite important at centre back and they aren't his strengths. I agree that he could be a very good holding midfield player or the sweeper role in a three man centre back partnership. If Jack Stephens is really the answer to our centre back problems then we will struggle this season.
