  1. yes, its a mortgage.....and if the stadium is purchased by a different body than buys the Football Club (ie the City Council) then that "debt" is not with SFC. Besides i thought it was a given that Aviva will accept a lot less than the £24mil to clear the debt, hence the City Council's interest. And anyway the stadium comes under either the PLC unbrella or this St Marys Stadium Ltd company.
  2. Dont forget Mike Richards and that Windsor-Clive chappy ! Perhaps Mr Askham will give us a few of his thought in the Echo tomorrow.........
  3. blast you man, you beat me to it !! : - )
  4. there isnt any point looking on the pitch anyway !!!!
  5. So we now have to rely on a bunch of players who frankly didnt look that motivated or interested anyway to try and get us out the bottom 3 so that we start next season on 0 points ! Given that 90% of those players Wotte picks Saturday will not be there next season its pretty safe to say we will start with -10 then. He might as well play the kids who will still be here then from the reserves and academy. Judging by last saturday's pathetic showing they wont be any worse.
  6. Its very good of them to care enough to turn up and contribute by paying to get in. How lovely and generous of them !!!! Or had they not worked that one out yet......................
  7. I'll have a pint of whatever youre on : - ) Relying on those useless bastards to win two games on the trot is optimistic to say the least.
  8. Or perhaps RL could show how much he still loves the club, supposedly, by giving back the £500,000 pay off he took when Wilde and Co. got rid of him in 2006. Just the right amount to keep the club going for the meantime.
  9. Well Crouch would know cos Crouch has attended meetings with Mr Fry......including one last Wednesday cos it was mentioned last Thursday at the evening with lawrie and matt !
  10. As much as I do not rubbish everything Richard Chorley says, like some do, you would have to say that if Crouch did ring him and tell him that then it was either a gross error of judgement thinking he would keep it to himself or he has done it with a motive in mind !
  11. Lawrie explained it at the LM/MLT/MC evening last thursday. As the club needs the money NOW, they obviously cannot wait until 17 May for the money to come in so what they were looking to do is get a local businessman/company to underwrite the gate receipts - based on a full house - then when the game is played all ticket money would go back to whoever put the money in upfront. Of course its a gamble - if only 16,000 turned up that person/business has lost 50% of their money. Now wether the announcement of this game means they have found a sponsor or not isnt clear.
  12. Oh Christ ! The one consolation i was getting out of this was that i wouldnt have to watch BWP anymore. Possibly the most infuriating player i have ever seen in a Saints shirt, and I've seen a few. Possibly one of the unfittest too.......runs around for half an hour then is knackered for the rest of the game !
  13. Sorry but i think you are way way off there. More like - Stern John out of contract Gregorz Rasiak £400,000 Marek Saganowski £400,000 David McGoldrick £ 600,000 Adam Lallana £ 600,000 Andy Surman £ 800,000 Kelvin Davies out of contract LLoyd James £250,000 Rudi Skacel out of contract Bradley W-Phillips out of contract Morgan Schneiderlin £ 600,000 and that is being generous to one or two. You have to bear in mind clubs will know we need to get rid, aside from which a fair few are out of contract so they can go for nothing.
  14. before anyone starts with the "we can still do this" bit can we kindly remember that to stand any chance we have to win both our remaining games. And that is where the problem starts...and ends...cos with these players we will not do that unfortunately.
  15. The players donating the wages they got for yesterdays pathetic excuse to the Save Our Saints would be nice at the same time. Go out with a bit of honour.......but they wont.

    Wotte OUT

You know if it is all about numbers through the turnstiles to keep the club going then that aint a bad idea. We are down anyway so there would be nothing to lose but a few extra £££'s to gain.
  17. Which is exactly why we need a fresh start. Different league, different manager, different players but most of all different owners/directors who have some sense and idea about what a football club means to its supporters.
  18. You are a complete Grade A **** arent you ? Why dont you crawl away and do something useful you sad pathetic turd. This club gas been bought to its knees and its down to your ****in hero you sicko.
  19. Cant see anyone putting it more clearly and accurately than that.

    Wotte OUT

New owners, new manager, new players (by and large) Its hard to see how it could be any worse than what we have now. If it is then about 10,000 of us must have been right bastards in a previous life !!!!
  21. Couldnt agree more - excellent post.
  22. But cheaper to buy in Div 1 surely ? That, to me, is what the serious investors are waiting to see, which division we will be in next season before making their move. Its sound business sense too.
  23. No I mentioned us first Robbie......i know its all my fault, I'm big enough to take my share of the blame......had I realised i would have taken a lot more credit when we got to the Cup Final in 2003 !!!!
  24. So if he really was sacked thats another manager that our former Chairman had to pay up then ? I wonder if old 19 Canteen and co would be willing to admit, or at least see, that the amount of money that tosser had to fork out for his managerial mistakes has probably helped take us to the brink of going under. Of course I'm forgetting none of it was his fault was it ? It was us/the players/the media/the staff/the tea lady/the ball boys/the half time entertainment etc etc
