Would pick all those myself I think. Only one missing was Phil Boyer against Notts Forest in 1979. We won 4-1 and Boyer fininshed off an excellent move.

You wrote THAT letter !!!! ha ha Irony is a wonderful thing......

You are not welcome at this club You have divided the club and the fans You have gambled with the future of this club with your Dutch experiment You talk down to your paying customers and treat anyone who disagrees with you with utter contempt. You have sacked good people whose only crime was speaking out against you You are pompus You are arrogant Please go................NOW
-
That has always been my argument as well. But I guess with self interest toppermost in the minds of Lowe and Wilde they would want something out of it to step aside. Besides wouldnt that equate to Lowe admitting to a mistake ?
-
Well exactly, I am still waiting for someone at the club to explain how young athletes (dont laugh, thats what they should be) can get tired playing two games a week. Its just bull****.
-
Well he will have to play them tomorrow cos, as usual when they play 2 games pretty close together the "boysh" will be tired !!!!!
-
Perhaps its just me, too much food etc etc and my brain has gone but could someone please explain the wisdom behind JP leaving Euell, Perry and BWP out of the game at Plymouth and "resting" them for the Reading game ? As far as i can see why would you fail to play your strongest team in the game you are most likely to have a chance winning ? Plymouth or Reading........umm.......I would have thought that the chances of beating Plymouth were better than beating a Reading side who are excellent away and will be gunning for us after beating them, somehow, at their place. Have I missed some great Dutch tactical thinking here or what ?
-
We will be playing Weymouth and Salisbury if the next 5 years are like the past 5 years !
-
Thought he could play at centre half ? With Killer injured, Pearce possibly going back and Lancashire the slowest centre half i have ever seen for someone of his age would it not have been prudent to keep him as cover, esp being experienced, and with Rudi supposedly off in January there goes another experienced player in the area you need it most, defence. Incredible, what a circus.

From listening and talking to Mary Corbett today (and what a lovely lady she is btw) the only hope we have is that the penny drops, Wilde realises that Lowe is using him, and he dumps Lowe back into no mans land. But as he seems to have the morals of an alley cat and lacks courage and integrity that seems at present to be one hell of a longshot. It would be a good time for Mary and Lawrie etc to go public on some of the things Lowe and his cronies have been up to of late, but that is their decesion to make. Rather interestingly Mary did say that Lawrie had written a wonderful article for the Echo to go in last night, before the AGM, but it was "pulled" by the editor at the last minute !!!
-
Afraid not, all we really found out was Cowen earns £25k a year for his one day a fortnight. No idea how much Lowe earns, that was side stepped surprisngly.
-
In a word...NO. sorry, you didnt expect anything did you, really ?
-
Lowe was actually asked today to shoulder some blame for the way the club has gone in the last 4-5 years. He wouldnt, or couldnt, its everybody elses fault except his apparently. Leon Crouch did say he accepted full responsibility for what happened when he was Chairman but he wasnt going to be blamed for what happened when Hone and co were running the club, which I think is more than fair, why should he ? Lawrie asked Lowe to drop the arrogance and pomposity for an hour or so and stop talking down to the people who were there today, people who unlike him actually knew football and understood what they were watching. Lowe looked at him as if he was talking a foreign language...totally went over his head.......he sure does have thick skin, I will give him that.
-
No he didnt....Mary Corbett was telling a few people outside afterwards.
-
Yes he was, he also asked Lowe to resign i believe, but politely !! Be interesting to know why, when Leon Crouch wrote a cheque for £2 million a few weeks ago, and asked Wilde and Lowe to match it so they could wipe the Barclays debt, Lowe just laughed in his face wouldnt it ? Done any fishing in Scotland lately Rupert ? Amazing what you can get with £1 million isnt it......esp when you get your mates to put in £10 million for a prime chunk of river bank ; - )

Stop criticising Adam Lallana and others!!!
beatlesaint replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
No we have the most put upon and the ones who have to suffer an almost daily soap opera as our club is run into the ground by morons. Should we be sheep and just accept everything that happens then or does the paying customer bit not give us a right or opinion ? -
He was certainly standing firm Saturday afternoon. He spent the last half hour of that match firmly rooted in the same place with his hands in his pockets and gave off the body language that spelled out CLUELESS.
-
Couldnt agree more. Top post. If they cant handle the pressure now what on earth will they be like when we need to win a game to avoid relegation as at the end of last season ?
-
Did anyone see the small article on Lee Holmes in Saturday's Pink ? After the usual clap trap about us not being far away and how brilliant some of our football is etc etc he ended with this corker of a quote - "the front lads have been, at times, different class. I think most teams in the Championship would swap their frontline for what we've got" !!!!!!!!! Now if he was talking about the 3 out on loan fair enough, but i suspect he isnt !!!
-
This feelgood factor thing only lasts for a while though. Look at **** Head at Spurs.......all his wonderous magic has started to fade in recent weeks and they are only a point off the drop !
-
Excellent post.
-
Rupert Lowe will never admit he has made a mistake with JP Rupert Lowe's mates in the boardroom and amongst the shareholders will stick by him come what may so he can experiment with his Dutch Duo until he has achieved the unthinkable....and that will be SFC in the third tier of English football for the first time in nearly 50 years. Thanks Rupert....you're a brick....or something that rhymes with brick anyway.
-
I think i can guess the answer to that one......it will equate to a big fat NO but will be dressed up with a lot of confusing half arsed Loweisms !!
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldnt see where the 2 up front were then.
-
http://saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11111 so we apparently played 2 up front for the last thirty minutes but JP saw no difference and it wouldnt matter if we played five up front !!!!! Well no Genius Jan it wouldnt have made any difference today cos we were crap BUT does that mean two up front will never happen while he is manager and the reason given will be the last half hour of todays game as the reason/excuse ? Give me strength......or a manager.....or both !
