Has Mara been involved very much?
-
I would think barring any mishaps that will be the lineup next Saturday.
-
Yes I agree, he’s not due back until January
-
Suggestion? Target? Coming in on loan?
-
That’s us out of the running then 😂

The Lionesses success - Five footballing lessons for us?

Has Lord Duckhunter not found this thread yet ? 🤣 -
Aah, but as you would be quick to point out if it was someone else, it doesn’t mean a transfer isn’t on the cards either !!
-
That Chelsea mauling at home really destroyed us, Ralph dropped the pressing game and went for this turgid shit straight after and hasn’t looked back….or forward since.
-
Have they signed anyone who wasn’t in the Championship last season?
-
I haven’t got a clue what Ralph is talking about here. Absolute bollocks.
-
I would think you are more likely to see the 1st choice line up Saturday than you are tonight.

2. The desire to play an attacking game -
I agree. Lets be honest, of these 6 young players coming in the chances of all of them coming good are a bit remote, young players peak, fall away etc etc. If 3 or 4 of them add to the team and become great players for us then that, for me, would be a great return. If its only 1 or 2 we are in the do do !
-
well the saleable ones they would be willing to let go are Bednarek, Stephens (although he wont bring in much) and Redmond I suppose. All well and good in principle but who they hell is going to want to buy them ? Championship club for Stephens maybe.....
-
Absolutely. If the England keeper had let that in she would have been comprehensively slaughtered for the mistake. It’s nice to watch an England team who attack, Southgate take note.
-
When he mentioned Southampton I googled it. An echo article from Nov 2020 said his boyhood hero was Matt Le Tissier (bet he keeps that quiet at the moment) and that his Dad was a season ticket holder. He follows Saints on Twitter.
-
Maybe Edozie would be the No. 10 signing that will enable Ralph to carry out his master plan and play Stuart Armstrong as a striker ? 😛
-
He must be coming out with this shite for a bet mustn’t he?
-
I don’t understand why the talk is that if he goes on loan it will be to Burnley. Surely Pep and co would rather see him cutting his teeth in the Premier League, it’ll help them decide what to do with him next season as well. If we got him in on loan, with the addition of Mara, Adams and Armstrong I suppose we could wait to see how things develop on the Broja front well into mid-end of August or it still gives us time to get another striker in permanently if they give up on the Broja option.
-
I’ve seen a lot of people dismiss him and say “not worth the money” etc BUT the difference between him and Delap for example is that Broja has shown he can do it in the Premier League. Yes his form dipped at the end of last season but so did everybody else and secondly he was so isolated on his own up front even Harry Kane would have struggled. Play to his strengths and you’ve got a Premier League striker ready to go on your hands.

Out of the last 5 seasons we have finished above 15th once, the past two seasons both 15th, that’s my source 😂
-
Nobody has said that 🙄 If you care to read the posts properly the discussion is about him noticeably tiring in games and not being taken off/given a break.
-
No, I’m not blaming the ACL on anything except bad luck but after he had that meniscus injury he was never quite the same when he came back which suggests to me he should have been given longer to fully recover and was either carrying it slightly or worried about it. I think Ralph had the nerve to criticise England for playing him in an U21 match for the full 90 minutes which is ironic given he could never see he was tiring in the last 25-30 mins of games, esp after that injury.
-
Tbf it was Ralph who ran the boy into the ground by not giving him a break then still playing him all the time when he'd had an injury instead of letting him recover properly.

To be fair SR have ticked the boxes we needed ticking - goalkeeper, central defender, central midfielder, attacking midfielder, striker(s)…..…just need cover at full back to go with this second striker. Now if we could lose some of the dead wood to enable them to bring a couple more in…..but that’s being greedy.
