I dread to think what starting eleven Selles will put out. I bet Moi is back in ! Play Tall Paul and get the ball into him as much as possible with someone (Charly) running onto any knockdowns. I have wondered, whenever Selles has bought Tall Paul on for the odd 20 mins why our pinpoint dead ball specialist JWP is totally unable to find a 6ft 7in guy loitering in the penalty box ?

Following their early 2-0 leads against Liverpool and West Ham I fully expect an almost similar pattern……..with the exception of us scoring a goal never mind two !!

I noticed when the first goal went in all our players gathered around in a circle. I thought they were giving themselves a pep talk and telling wach other "right, we have to go for this" ! I was wrong, absolutely fuck all changed. Interesting also that quite a few crosses went into the box first half, inc a lovely ball in from Theo. Yet as soon as Tall Paul came on we stopped worrying about putting crosses into the box.......

If we had Niemi in goal and Phillips, Crouch, Ormerod and Camara up front we wouldnt be in the shite this season. The defence and midified this season is, in my opinion, much better............but I am haunted and possibly swayed by the memory of Olivier Bernard and especially his "performance" on a wet, miserable day in Blackburn that season.

Of all the must wins we have blown this season this is probably the last one and anything other than 3 points will be curtains even for the most deluded optimist. Shit or bust.
