Firstly let me say O'Neil wouldnt be my choice BUT he has managed two teams in the Premier League, he did a decent job at Bournemouth and kept them up, same with Wolves. The Northam who took great delight in singing constantly "Harry & Jim are Red & White" back in the day, songs about Crouchy being alright now etc etc. What should we do? Have a list of candidates, put their name and photo on the big screen and let the Northam decide the next realisitc manager by their reaction? Double standards, JWP was bought up a Pompey supporter ffs but he's treated as a hero. A potential manager once played for them, has no family link to them and he's public enemy No. 1 ? Bella-Kotchap isnt bad, he just had an attitude problem. I would replace him with Davenport as mentioned above or Alan Bennett. I would also replace Tall Paul with David Lee (I think that was his name, short arsed winger Branfoot bought in) anfd Delgado with Sekou Mara. Apart from those three thats pretty hard to beat.......well not in a footballing sense obviously !

You think ? Thanks for that! Problem is you never really know what you are gonna get until a manager arrives and works with the players he has. Some managers have been awful at some clubs and great at others. It's never black and white I'm afraid.

It amuses me when people are saying "dont want him his football is shite etc"........ Well I dont know where you have been for the past few years but we've hardly been accustomed to smooth, slick, fast flowing football with our forwards banging in goals for fun. Our levels of entertainment, for want of a better word, have run the gamut from effin boring all the way through to total shite.

Guys, Spors does not like posession football, he likes the high press. We have spent close on £50 million in the summer on players designed for high press NOT RM's tappy tappy shite. There is no way Spors is choosing RM, they/he may be incompetent but they do stop short of lunacy !

We must also remember that whilst he may have slowed down a little the guy has a football brain and we ain’t overblessed with players that have one of those !
