  1. He did plead guilty at the first opportunity.... If you ignore the Notice of intended prosecution, 10 years cover up, newspaper denials, 2 court hearings trying to prevent it coming to court.
  2. will "PTS Nutjob" be recognised as a profession for my car insurance? and will it be cheaper than my current employment. ( Mouse Pusher)
  3. Back in the 1940-50s Romsey had a jam factory where the old waitrose was. They employed kids to catch the wasps!
  4. I think you mean the work shy rather than the poor. Consider our situation... Worked 33 years, my wife worked 25 years. Between us we have claimed 2 weeks unemployment of £22. Then she gets two serious illnesses. Should we be split up and send her to the work house?... But she can't work, not even PC based work. Should she be put in the mincer and added to tesco burgers? There is a fair chance that you will get I'll before the retirement age of 66-67. How would you like to be treated?
  5. To investigate all the wrongdoing at Portsmouth over the last 5 years would probably cost another £200 million and keep this thread going 6 years.
  6. Where did the money go from the sale of the land and fratton park?
  7. KPMG 3 million turnover, 250 solicitors and 250 staff at £100k/30k turnover barely covers the wage bill...... http://www.credittoday.co.uk/article/14790/online-news/cobbetts-to-enter-administration

  11. They have a point though. I know I am comparing my single income with thier joint income but.... If I earn £30,000 I pay £7067 in deductions (4379 tax and 2688 NI) I take home £21,895. I am only £4215 better off than them at work before I have paid for travel to work, parking and work clothes. Parking is £8 a day in southampton £1472 (4day week 46 weeks) leaves me £2743 £690 on petrol, a pair of trousers, five good ****s a year £170.... Leaves me £1883 or £36 a week

  16. I can't remember what the first court case was for? £8 million to HMRC? And we were shocked. But rather than take the medicine and stop spending they decided to keep digging. And they dug and dug. Now after 3 years its embarrassing watching our neighbours still wallowing about in the bottom of their hole. ( still desperately looking for about £8 million) The people who started the hole have long gone, Storrie Redknap Milan , others have passed the shovel on to each new team. Mercenaries have helped from the criminal underworld and the insolvency world. Even local politicians have pitched in and encouraged them to dig the hole. They sold the land around to fund the hole. They even mortgaged their "stadium" They signed over their TV rights and the parachute payments to fund players to get them out of the hole but they just made the hole bigger. They formed a trust and talked about the hole for a year before jumping in the hole and helping dig deeper. ...... When you are in a hole stop digging.

  18. For food and class you can't beat Cunard. However for teenagers you should probobly go Royal Caribbean. as ships like the independance of the seas has an ice rink, climbing wall, mini golf , american diner etc Take a uk/usa travel plug to charge gadgets and a short extension lead as some plugs are obstructed top or bottom preventing transformers fitting. Cunard dont have a kettle in your room but the provide excelent room service free of charge. full meals, tea coffee hot choc. just ask. If you want to avoid departure queues just arrive in the last hour of departure. You should be on in 20min.

  20. One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door. Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill , the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you ' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door. Then a Member of Parliament came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill , the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Member of Parliament was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Members of Parliament lined up waiting for a free haircut.
