  1. Spot the player who is terrified of heights
  2. We definitely need a right-back. We need one now - if Clyne leaves we need two. McCarthy seems to be a central defender who can play right back rather than someone who can specialise in that position. And I think these days you need specialised full-backs.
  3. I am still to see JWP forge his identity on the pitch which does hinder him however he has a lot of ability and considering he has 66 Premier League appearances to his name and he isn't 21 until November I think we will reap the rewards that this early experience is giving him.
  4. There was probably a word relating to Lallana in the word search in the Liverpool programme, which on a literal level would make Rodgers' comments about nothing about Lallana in the programme incorrect.
  5. Honestly can't see us going for Mings with Bertrand signed for the next 4 years and Targett the next 5. As far as left-back goes, we're set.
  6. Buy him from us this summer and loan him back for our season in Europe
  7. If we make it into Europe do you think there is any chance we could have a special European kit?
  8. Yeah - just taken a look and found this on the UEFA website: Last season a 5 place drop from 6th to 11th would cost you £6m in prize money. I suspect a half decent Europa League run would give Saints a bit of money but nowhere near enough to have a squad that could sustain our current league campaign performance and also play in Europe. No wonder many clubs hate the Europa league. As a fan I'd love it though.
  9. What, if any, are the tangible financial benefits to playing in the Europa League? And given the new TV deal, what would be the impact of finishing 5 places further down the league. Say in this example slipping from 6th to 11th. There are also intangible benefits to playing in the Europa League but I'm just interested in the fiscal ones for now.
  10. I think Elia has only ever played on the left for us, apart from swapping wings for a few periods of the game. His goals against Newcastle came from the right and through the middle but in both cases he ran from the left which was his starting position.
  11. You must be joking? How long have you been supporting Saints!?! It was a frustrating performance but absolutely nowhere near one of the worst performances from us. In fact it wouldn't even be in the top 10 from the last calendar year!
  12. Same problems remain but we squeezed out the win. Really important three points nonetheless. Hard to know what the best mix in the final third is really. A bit puzzling. Maybe it will come to Koeman while the team play Monopoly in Switzerland?
  13. Maybe that was the luck we needed. Doesn't get us any closer to a bloody goal though.
  14. I am not so sure that Pelle is isolated. We've got so much possession that I think there are plenty of players around him but there is no pattern of play. It looks like we're just making it up as we go. There is definitely no penetration as you say though. If there is no space behind then I really wish Pelle would just sit on the two central defenders and stay in the box - not bothering to link up or show any interest in the ball until it is in the box. That said, our crossing is so poor at the moment he is probably wondering what on earth is going on. I agree Long needs to come on - just not sure who for. Maybe Elia, he has properly gone off the boil here.
  15. Need a lucky bounce or moment of luck in the box as goodness knows the team have zero confidence in their own ability here. I'd suggest bringing on a striker but we've only got one and he's being psychologically broken down by our Manager in front of 32k people
  16. Zero confidence in the final third. Great up to that point.
  17. I don't think they can after I read this: http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/latest-news/qpr-figures-not-all-they-seem
  18. Me neither, and nor should anyone really expect it. I wouldn't mind betting the total investment wiped off by the family is nearer 9 figures than 8, and we've been brought back into the Premier League better than we ever had before we left it. Their only last responsibility (or rather, my wish) is that when they choose to move on that they sell to decent new owners.
  19. It's hardly like Dubai in Switzerland this time of year. I suspect if anything it will only be a few degrees warmer and certainly nowhere near warm enough to make it seem cold when they touch back down in England.
  20. Yeah of course but I believe the law doesn't take into account how old someone looks, it's how old they are. And I am pretty sure 'she looks older than 15' doesn't stand up in a court of law - I don't think it is any defence whatsoever.
  21. I'm saying that I am pretty sure I can tell the difference between a 14/15 year old and an 18 year old and the law asks you to as well. And if you are in any doubt you should ask and even then use your judgement to see if she is 16 or not. Otherwise you've broke the law and it's not worth it, is it?
  22. I find those sort of excuses very tenuous. It's a bit like saying 'But she was drinking alcohol, so she must be 18'. He has a responsibility to uphold the law regardless of how he met her. I don't think any aspect of that responsibility can be transferred to anyone else in a situation like this. That is, of course, assuming he has broke the law.
  23. £1.85m mansion? That's any club South of the midlands out of the equation then.
  24. Did Koeman confirm whether or not the team were off for some warm-weather training this weekend (FA Cup Quarter-Final weekend)? He mentioned it likely happening a few weeks back.
