  1. The only people mentioning Puel are the usual sadacts, Batman, SKD etc, who bizarrely can't accept he's had two successive top half finishes with very average teams whilst their golden boy Silva has taken one club down and was on course for a second relegation before his club widely dismissed him. And they keep on mentioning Puel, obsessed or what. Very strange behaviour, they really need to move on. Best not to respond to people who can't accept basic facts. I reckon we'll finish 10th. Everton and West Ham will flop - Burnley, Palace and Huddersfield for the drop.
  2. I want to give Hoedt time because he is still young but I am starting to think that he might be another waste of money. Stephens definitely isn't good enough, and never will be.
  3. Given their past form with charities, we can’t really be surprised. A leopard never changes its spots...
  4. I tried signing up to the new Pompey Online website, I got an email back from the site owner asking me to send him pictures to prove I was a Pompey fan
  5. Not even Silva, just Everton in general. They had a complete overhaul of their upstairs structure but it seems they haven't learnt. I honestly would absolutely love it if they got relegated. Aston Villa and Newcastle are proof that you're never too big to go down.
  6. I think that's why more and more English players are going to academies abroad, Germany seems to be quite a popular destination. Some countries have rules where under 18s or 19s can't be sold to foreign clubs, which I think should be implemented worldwide. FIFA, or certainly UEFA at least, needs to act, I don't think the FA can do this on their own. In my opinion, as long as the majority of our academy players are from this country, I don't mind a few coming in from overseas.
  7. Palace fans not happy on twitter, apparently they've been doing this for years! Horrible club.
  8. Another dreadful signing. Our only hope is for these failures is that they play reasonably well for their new clubs and we can claw back some of the millions wasted. Didn't really work with Clasie though, let's hope Boufal and Carrillo's loan moves yields better results for us in terms of getting rid of them for good.
  9. Watford fans are over the moon, since October he was awful for them
  10. Loan signings from other Premier League clubs isn't really our thing unless there is a permanent fee clause inserted. Batshuayi would be a brilliant signing for any Premier League club, I reckon Everton out of the two would choose RLC.
  11. He'll stay, have a good season with us and leave next summer. That's my gut feeling.
  12. If we signed someone as high profile as say Ronaldo or Messi, I'd buy a shirt with Ronaldo's name on the back, as would many others. The queues outside the megastore would be mega long. PSG had the same thing with Neymar.
  13. No, France would have beaten us easily. The better team won today, they had too much for the "best defence" in world football. Funny that.
  14. Poor Lovren. Hahahahahahahaha
  15. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of players. Two dodgy decisions against them lol

  17. Allez les bleus
  18. Performances give an indication, yes. But I don't think the actual results tell you much. I'll make a prediction - Everton will get off to a superb start, Silva will be lauded, and it will go tits up by Christmas. If Silva can, this time around, sustain a team's performances for more than a handful of months then I am happy for this to be quoted and for me to eat my hat. On a slightly related note, has anyone seen Watford's new home kit?? Awful IMO, doesn't suit them at all.
  19. We thought we had a decent pre-season last season, beating Saint-Étienne 3-0 and Sevilla 2-0. Pre-season results mean zilch.
  20. Europeans don't get the coming home stuff at all, they don't have a sense of humour at all, and clearly don't understand that the song itself is all about England's past failures.
  21. Hopefully this means au revoir to Jack Stephens
  22. We have a stronger team than last season IMO. The focus has to be on shifting some of the deadwood in the team, and, as others have said, perhaps one more signing (after Vestergaard) would be nice.

    Strikers

Austin was unfit for the second half of the season, if he shifts a few pounds and stays injury free then he can be decent for us still.
  24. Mbappé will demolish him, so enjoy the final everyone and enjoy Lovren's tears.
  25. Someone needs to mention to Keane that he RAN AWAY from his World Cup chance.
