I discussed this in the other thread This is precisely what the journalist says in the video "[Tuchel] serait en pôle pour remplacer Puel à Southampton" Tuchel is in pole position to replace Puel at Southampton For those who know their grammar, 'serait' = 'to be' conjugated in the conditional (would be), but using the conditional is a common feature in French journalism, and implies that the source is unconfirmed and/or unreliable. So, until there is a report about it in newspapers in Germany, France or over here, rather than a Saints fan website, it's not really anything to get excited about. On the other hand, this journalist may have a massive scoop, but if he did, surely he'd share it first with the organisation for whom we works (France Football).
-
Normally these things get announced by the other clubs first. Can't find anything where any French clubs have announced that they're playing us.
-
Is Wemarchon our new signing? Tiny writing though, a nightmare for the commentators.

Before we all get excited, it's just one man's little snippet. No report, no sources... so let's just wait and see what happens.
-
For those who can understand French, the little snippet is right at the end. The journalist says he believes that Tuchel is in pole position to replace Puel at Southampton. That's all he says.
-
A French TV Sports show (L'Équipe Du Soir), associated with the well-known newspaper, are saying that Tuchel is in pole position to come to Saints
-
I would have no problem with selling him to either of those team (obviously I'd rather he stayed at us for as long as possible)
-
Liverpool losing their Champions League play-off would be very, very funny
-
On Twitter, a lot of the Blue Phew want Appleton back! Of course, the #deludedest are trotting out the usual big names that wouldn't touch them with a barge pole
-
Reading are such a nothing club, with nothing fans. And let's not forget that tinpot song they released, it's worse than ours.
-
Enjoyed our rivalry with them in League 1. Good to see both us, Brighton and Huddersfield in the top flight. Add Bournemouth to that, and that's 4 of the top 6 from League One 6 years ago in the Premier League
-
If they were willing to pay more than what we signed him for then I'm all for the deal.
-
Why is that irrational?
-
Pellegrini was the man that Jack Schitt was 'ITK' about, until it turned out that he was lying all along. It won't be him, as the Mirror article says, he doesn't fit the 'Southampton Way'.
-
Or Tuchel. He's fallen out with the Dortmund hierarchy
-
Whoever is the manager, I genuinely believe we will finish higher than 8th. Impossible to tell with the cups, but hopefully we will give one, perhaps both of them a good go.
-
You'll be pleased with the news I bring then The local press (Le Progrès) is reporting that Puel is St Etienne's first choice. It was reported yesterday that nothing will be done before a week on Monday. This one looks like it's gathering momentum
-
Who are you referring to?
-
If Puel has been speaking to other clubs, presumably that means that he either a) has already been told we're going to replace him or b) wants to leave
-
On the other hand, Puel knows the French league better, and of course took Nice to 4th place before he came here. Ranieri was at Monaco but they had mega money. Puel would be the safer bet I reckon.
-
5th June is over a week away. So if he does go, then that at least gives us time to find a replacement. We don't want to go the whole summer in managerial limbo.
-
Translation - St Etienne directors met with Claude Puel and Claudio Ranieri. They won't make a decision before 5th June.
-
Seen a few shouts for Uncle Avram too

I didn't want Pochettino out myself. However... https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?49780-Pochettino-s-Future&p=1940795#post1940795
