We had higher attendances as a League 1 team in the same season they were in the Prem. It's just a major embarrassment for them to even talk about it. I guarantee you, for every northern away game, we will take more fans than them. I can't find it but does anyone have that infamous picture of their fans at a Prem game at Wigan where they had barely 100 people? The next season we sold out the away end entirely.

Our record against 11 isn't great either

Supposedly the coaches are being taken down the M271 from Nursling https://x.com/Connor__Reed/status/1961727580047835578

Let's hope a certain Mr Westwood can keep his inside his trousers (or whatever it is he wears as part of his clown outfit) this time.
-
Indeed. People can argue he can do better but so the whole squad tbh.

https://www.efl.com/news/2023/august/31/all-you-need-to-know-ahead-of-the-summer-transfer-window-deadline/ Although that was from 2023 so maybe it's changed since then.

No deal sheets in the EFL, that's just a Premier League thing.
-
20 years since we last beat them at St Mary's

Could we hijack the Isak deal?

Scienza wooah Scienza wooah he's from Brazilia he'll fucking murder ya Making a comeback to the Soccer AM bantz crowd this season
-
This Scienza bloke might just be the missing piece of the jigsaw. Pretty obvious we need another winger.

I thought the ref had a good game overall, he let a lot of challenges go. Best ref we've had so far this season but that wasn't difficult because the other 3 have been total shit.
-
I'd start McCarthy for this one - he's the only member of the squad who played against them in 2019 (Stephens was only on the bench) - his experience will be crucial in such a game.
-
From what Still was saying after the game, he basically had the shits. Not ideal. I had a similar issue whilst travelling across London for the Ipswich game a couple of weeks back. Had to hold on for dear life.
-
A few rumours that the away end at least won't be selling alcohol. Hopefully with the bubble, there won't be any issues in the pubs/fanzones being open before the game.
-
We can only get better. So if this is our dodgy period then so be it. 42 games to go. I'll be concerned if we're 13th in February, not at the end of August.
-
Goes without saying that anything other than a win is unacceptable. Get the new boys in right from the start.
-
We're ahead of Ipswich though. And both us and Ipswich will be miles clear of them lot in May.
-
Baz isn't the issue. The poor defending is. Everyone seems to have forgot the Wrexham and Ipswich saves already
-
That was rubbish. Why don't we create any decent chances from open play? We can score from corners and free kicks and that's it. Can't recall us having any sustained spell of pressure. Second half in particular was awful.

Ticket releases for August and Portsmouth games?
Pamplemousse replied to Ekimr's topic in The Saints
Fratton Park (PO4 8TB) – 8.30am Lakeside North Harbour (PO6 3EN) – 8.55am South Winchester Park & Ride (access via M3, junction 11): 9.55am Those are the departure times. I reckon they'll take a longer route which is why they're leaving earlier - i.e. through Bitterne rather than across the Itchen Bridge -
https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/2025/08/29/what-west-brom-boss-ryan-mason-said-about-tom-fellows-proposed-10m-move-to-southampton/ The Albion boss remained strong in his line that Fellows was still an Albion player as of Friday morning - and had reported to the Albion training ground. However, he acknowledged how things can change quickly. He said: "I can only speak about players in the building that are mine, he is currently one of my along with the other boys. "I think what we are speaking about at the moment are potentials. Tom is still our player, he is in the building now. "In football and in life things can happen and can change, currently my mind isn't thinking about that. "He's in the building, everyone in the building is available. We have some injuries as well that make players unavailable, but all other players are ready for selection. "I think the Tom situation along with others is that nothing has been confirmed."

Tom Fellows was training at West Brom today so not sure the deal is as advanced as was made out. We'll see if he's in the squad for their game this weekend.
