Another great ball played in by Romeu.
-
Sterling didn’t have his arms in a natural position there.
-
Yep, Mourinho has him playing a much simpler role in the Tottenham team, where he simply sits back, breaks attacks with tactical fouls and recycles the ball to a teammate. We/Ralph do not play this way and now you can see that JWP and Romeu are much more capable of bringing the ball forward and hitting shots on target, playing assists etc. (I know Romeu got his first ever League one, but that ball against Arsenal which Redmond hit the bar with was another delight.) Whereas, the less said about Hojbjerg’s ability up the pitch in regards to his shooting and composure to pick out a killer pass, well the less said about that the better. He certainly is not their Eriksen replacement, which they were all crowing about in the summer, only in nationality. Essentially, Hojbjerg is a passion merchant, who wears his heart on the sleeve and does try to break boundaries with the rules/deceive the ref and Mourinho loves these types of players.

Get a penalty/direct free kick from David Luiz.

Do you support Arsenal?
-
Look here, I've read the article and cannot see any issues with it. Just look at this compelling quote: They're clearly massive fans of Forster, as despite his dominant presence causing them to struggle, they would still love to lure him back. Additionally: Fully agree that McCarthy is only our number one due to the weakest part of his game.
-
If we show them respect and sit back a bit because they’re Arsenal then they could hurt us with the quality of some of their individuals. However, if we take the game to them then I think we could beat them, quite comfortably too, like the 4-0 at home, which saw THAT Martina goal.

Good job the black box foresaw this when running its character checks on potential signings.
-
Vestergaard’s pulling the strings, such good long range passing.
-
Game over. Time to go to sleep.
-
Djenepo may need to go off for Ings early doors now following the yellow. Use Walcott’s experience to defend against Lamptey as Djenepo’s having all kinds of issues.

No chance, never really shown any footballing ability, barring a brief purple patch in 2017-18 where he scored 13 in all comps through being in the right place at the right time. More interested in the Celebrity lifestyle and social media followings of being a footballer (like Dele Alli) and didn't really turn too many heads in his Championship loans when he was coming through. Would've been discarded a long time ago by United if he didn't come through the academy.
-
We've branched out to bring in a few foreign players into the academy set-up too, Valery, Jankewitz, Rus and Rodriguez being the most notable. Our transfer model seems to be moving away from the domestic leagues also, where a standard Championship player costs £15m+ now. We will need quite a rethink with these rules, I reckon. Ings and JWP will be more valuable than they already are, however.

Reed wouldn’t get into our first team given the form of Romeu and JWP. Would be competing with Diallo for the bench place, when he would be guaranteed first team football at Fulham after last year’s loan. We did get a fair amount of money for him too.
-
They bench him and then look above competent against one of the better teams in the division. How the mighty have fallen.

Can Ralph start campaigning for 0 subs?
-
Played well for 60 minutes, no passengers in the eleven, everyone knew their job and were doing it. But, then capitulation and we could not get the ball out of our own half.
-
Klopp in his post-match interview stated that he wants five subs to help protect players, using Robertson as his example. He said that he would have brought Tsimikas on to replace him, a 24-year-old full Greek international, who was signed from Olympiakos for £12m in the summer. Now, if we went with the same position and wanted to give Bertrand a rest at the end of the game, we would turn to a 20-year-old with one professional game to his record, or play a player out of position. You can see the advantage...
-
Redknapp the obvious choice. Karl Robinson sticks in the memory for being an annoying little twerp when at MK Dons. Gus Poyet, Mauricio Taricco and the Brighton theatrical act from the same time period also. The fans cracked Ian Holloway when at Blackpool also. Wonder if he, or the club are still laughing.
-
"You won’t hear him boasting about his star-studded contacts book inside the Southampton dressing room, however. The Athletic is aware of some former Southampton players bragging about having shared a pitch with global superstars at previous clubs" Who this? Romeu would make a good captain, going from the information provided, good to have him around the club as well as him now bringing quality to the first eleven.

That's the problem with being a good team again, our opponents will adapt to cancel out our strengths, rather than playing an open game. Newcastle tried it, but Wolves are a much better drilled team. Feel we could have done more if we did have Ings. Walcott had a few more chances alongside the one on one miss. Adams is really coming into his own though. Both him and Vestergaard can pull off ridiculous passes from deep positions. Another good match from McCarthy also.

Two of their substitutes yesterday were in the 89th minute. Very negligent from Mr. Klopp.

Yeah, Leicester were the only team to acquire more points than us from January 2016 to May 2016. We won 12 of our last 18 games, three defeats and three draws.
