I fucking hate the number 9, even getting to Ings.
-
Is that a joke?
-
Okay.... He’s good.
-
Another example of a fringe top six Prem club player looking a level above tonight in a reputably mid-table side in Lingard, but would not have predicted that! Liverpool lose again!
-
Different scenarios, but perfect example of a big club getting a contentious penalty, while we don't get a seemingly concrete one against Aston Villa in the previous match. Hopefully able to appeal Bednarek's red card. They should change that rule, like they have changed every other rule that a team has kicked up a fuss about so far this season. E.g. the handballs at the beginning of the season and the offside rule that came into play after the Mings and Smith debacle.
-
Fucking hell... we’ve had the 9-0 drilled into us every match day since. Please not again.
-
Accept his transfer request.
-
Well, it worked with Ings... We've had a lot of success in signing fringe players from the higher Prem clubs - Bertrand, Romeu, KWP and the already mentioned Ings. Hopefully get an option to buy in there, as if he is a success we'll have no hope of signing him permanently.
-
We've wanted full-back cover since the Williams deal fell through on the final day of the summer transfer window. Bizarre that we've gone into the final day of the next transfer window and still searching.
-
Lee Mason and his team of twats were the ones Nuno raged over after a Wolves game. Ralph probably won’t do the same, or at least be more subtle in his criticisms, but shows he shouldn’t be at this level.
-
He almost took Cash’s arm off with the shot. Could’ve hurt him. (Incidentally, Cash was the same player who escaped a clear red in the reverse fixture this season.)
-
He blocks the ball with his arm... You could suggest the Fulham one was debatable, but this is just bizarre.
-
Same happened with the first team. Ralph immediately shipped out those who weren’t willing to buy into his philosophy and embrace it fully - Hoedt, Lemina, Cedric, Austin and Boufal last summer. The first team definitely hasn’t suffered for this. Vestergaard, JWP, Romeu, Armstrong and Ings have all seemingly put the work in off the pitch and have noticeably improved the most in the squad following the Hughes reign. We thought we shouldn’t have signed Ings, Vestergaard was too slow for this league, Romeu was too slow with his best years behind him, Armstrong was average at best and JWP was being linked with moves to Watford and Burnley after struggling to cement a first team place. Now, they’re the core of our team. So, obviously this is not always going to work as simply as good attitude = succeed and poor attitude = decline. However, given the clear evidence regarding the first team, it’s bizarre to be questioning Hassenhuttl’s man management of individuals. Everything about our youth team is pure speculation. We simply do not see enough of them, because there isn’t enough media surrounding them, other than the odd soundbite of “xxxxx” is the next big thing! Like we did with Slattery, who was constantly linked to Arsenal in the media. However, if he was Southampton quality and if his loan was an example of cutting off your nose to spite your face due to off field reasons, then Gillingham wouldn’t have been an option for him at 21.

Diallo, interesting. He’s been our second best player in the middle tonight, behind Armstrong.
-
Who’s the LB?
-
There’s the David Luiz mistake, couldn’t take advantage. Armstrong’s looking on another level tonight.
-
Doesn't seem like a natural conversation to have on the bench. 🤷♂️
-
If Barcelona, Juventus and Inter cannot afford him, then we definitely can't. Does seem like your typical West Ham signing though.
-
But, Lem's Life has only just welcomed everyone to London!
-
Yeah, when N’Lundulu and Valery came on against Liverpool, we looked more comfortable and obviously saw out the match. Need the same now.
-
Why did Arsenal sign Cedric?
-
Strong team, they’re resting a load for midweek.
-
Struggling to think of a more overrated/overhyped player than Thiago. When he signed he was made out to be the midfield equivalent of Alisson/Van Dijk, but Diallo took him out of the game against us and in every other match he has not done anything, bar a few stepovers in midfield.

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/soccertalents/beraterfirma/berater/3381 Would appear that he's the only one who would get this agency any decent money.

Suits the role given to him better at Aston Villa. Seems to have been told to keep it safe and simple, cover Grealish and provide him with more attacking freedom. Grealish isn't going to track back, so Targett needs to stay back and offers next to nothing going forward. Whereas, Ralph wants his full-backs to attack, carry the ball from deep and offer an attacking threat out wide with pace. Still has some defensive frailties, as we found out when we beat them and we seemed to, excuse the pun, target their life hand side of the pitch.
