  1. I was one of them. :-)
  2. I once found a small plastic child's toy in a packet of Cornflakes. No idea how that got there. Weird!
  3. Local radio said they'd not sold their allocation. They took 80 fans to Spurs and 53 to WBA. That's **** poor support! It's not familiar to Saints fans as they never taken less than 100 fans to a premier league away fixture!
  4. Brum will lose a lot of players. Ben Foster to Spurs?
  5. Wigan took 1500 fans to Stoke on survival Sunday. Its a short trip down the M6 and they could only muster up 1500 fans. What an absolute disgrace. I can't believe they've stayed up.
  6. Wigan are a joke. My mate's son is in their Academy team. He's never once met a player from the first team and the Manager never visits any of the youth set up's at the club. How can you bring young players into the first team if you never go and watch them? Poor management! He had a spell at Everton and it was a completely different story. Moyes and first team players would often turn up at the Academy. It boosts morale of the young players and enables them to talk to young first teamers who've been through the process.
  7. Luton are my hometown team so I went to the final yesterday. It's tragic what's happened to that town. I know of families who've been there for generations and they've been driven out. You can say what you like about their fans but they take superb support away from home given the position they're in. The 30 point deduction a few years ago was an absolute joke! I'm sure there would have been more Luton at Eastlands had it not been for rip-off ticket prices. Tickets were only available from seetickets.com and were subject to a £4 booking fee. £40 for a conference play off is a disgrace. Especially when you can get a ticket for the NPC playoff for £26. Had the game been played at a London stadium like White Hart lane it would have been packed and neither set of fans would have had to pay between £50 - £100 to get to Manchester. Chuffed for AFC Wimbledon as an old school friend is related to Dave Bassett and as a kid I had some good days out at Plough Lane. AFC are a great model for fan run clubs. My local team, Chester, can learn a lot from AFC's rise to the league.
  8. I didn't think they'd take it back as the bag has been opened so didn't bother. I'll give it a go. Cheers.
  9. I ordered an away shirt with 25% off. I asked if there was going to be a further reduction before the end of the season and was told 'no'. I took this with a pinch of salt given what's happened in the past. However, imagine how annoyed I was when the shirt was reduced to 50% only 2 days after my order was placed. What a disgusting piece of customer service. I called the shop and was told there was nothing they could do. Guess what? I won't be shopping there again.
  10. Any other result would have been a disgrace. Huddersfield finished 16 points ahead of Bournemouth. Therefore over the course of a season they've been a better team. That's what the league is for. If a team finished 16 points adrift at the bottom of the league there's no way they deserve to stay up based on 3 further games of football, so why should it be any different at the top of the table? The playoffs should be scrapped or at best involve teams from the top of one league playing the teams from the bottom of the league above. Sadly money rules the game these days so it will never happen.
  11. A great bit of business if we did get him for £50k. I would have thought it would have been a bit more than that? Interesting that he moved to Preston for £850k and had a Premiership move for £1.5m. I assume that was WBA? Anything under £500k is a bargain for a player that's given what he has.
  12. A mate and I were chatting this evening and neither were sure if we signed him permanently last season or if he was just on loan? Bringing him in was a great move. He contributed so much. I hope he's around next season.
  13. Good experienced player to have around. His contribution has been superb and he thoroughly deserves a one year deal.
  14. You can't hang on to players with an injury record like his. I'd rather see Mills take his place in the squad.
  15. I need to speak to my mate at Umbro, although after the slagging I got last year I'm not sure I should bother. I was told it was a sash last season and when I gave away some clues on the forum I was told I was full of ****.
  16. Everybody seems to have forgotten Watford v Doncaster.
  17. You beat me to it.
  18. It's a bit of harmless fun. That's all. FWIW I'd like to see the yellow shirt trimmed with black and red, or green. There should be no blue in any Saints shirt!
  19. I'm only saying what it says on the hearts website. They've described it slate grey.
  20. I'd be very surprised if that's the case.
  21. I know what you mean about royal blue always being put with yellow. I'd ratehr we wore Yellow and Green. My view is that royal blue shouldn't be seen on any Saints shirt. It's the colour of that lot down the road and has no place in any of our shirts. You never see Liverpool wearing blue or Spurs wearing Red.
  22. Worst Saints away kit has to be this. It's hideous. The yellow just doesn't go with that shade of blue.
  23. Looks like this could be the template for Umbro's away shirts next season, but 2 tone slate grey with a pink pinstripe??? I hope not! I Could see them doing this in 2 tone yellow with a blue pin stripe. Perhaps someone could knock this up to see how it might look?
