  1. The kit should change every 2 years. Instead of changing home and away every year, maybe do the away kit on alternate seasons so at least there's one new shirt every season for those who want it. This would mean a new home shirt this season and keeping the black shirt for another 12 months. New home shirt in 2013 & 2015, then new away shirt's in 2012 and 2014, etc.
  2. Maybe it was overlooked as they wanted to keep the shirt as close to the 1885 original as possible? After the success of the sash they need something that is going to be as popular with the fans. Something like this may fit the bill? Hey, it's just a thought. I could be barking up the wrong tree completely. It was just a thought when I saw the 'Stars In Stripes' promotion on the website.
  3. There you go. It was an Umbro shirt too.
  4. Here's a thought. Think back to that old Man Ure shirt that had past players names all over it. What if 'Stars In Stripes' is a clue. Maybe the new shirt will have the names of former Saints 'Stars' in the stripes??? You heard it here first folks. ;-)
  5. Buying a ticket is completely different to spending £40 on an item of clothing that you've never seen. All you know is that it will be Red & White. What if it looks like an absolute dogs dinner? What if it's like a tight fitting cycle shirt and you part with your hard earned cash only to end up looking like a Michelin man who's had a fight with a bottle of Tomato ketchup? (I await the mock-up images of that) ;-)
  6. All this teasing with dates is pathetic. Who in their right mind would pre-order a shirt without seeing it? The people at the club who are behind this are idiots. Just release the bloody shirt. We are approaching holiday season, by releasing it at the end of July they're missing a huge opportunity to sell shirts to people who maybe want to be seen in their clubs latest colours on their summer holiday.
  7. Look at one of those old patrick shirts in the flesh and you'll see that it was a much more orangie shade of red than the red we currently wear.
  8. There is no way Saints will finish in the top 6. Lower half of the table is the best we can expect next season. As long as we stay up I'll be happy.
  9. Shut up! Times are hard. Everybody is looking to save money wherever possible. Just be grateful it's still going to a company in the UK and isn't being produced in the far east like most things that are sold in the UK. I do wish people would put all their effort into supporting Saints rather than wasting energy worrying about bloody P*rtsmouth!
  10. Marlon Harewood has just been offered a two year deal by Notts County. I think he'd be ideal for us in the Championship.
  11. So he did. Sign him up!
  12. I reckon it'll be revealed sometime between now and august.
  13. Why would we want John Rambo? He may be good at killing people but he's **** at football.
  14. Wise words!
  15. I really think it's going to be tougher than everybody thinks. I'd say somewhere between 14th and 20th.
  16. I thought he'd get the boot the minute they failed to make the playoff final. Not sure they'll do any better without him but I guess he's failed at the final hurdle twice now and as a result the board want a change.
  17. Couldn't agree more. I hear that Shane Long from Reading is off to Everton if Reading don't go up. Also very strong rumours that Owen is off to Everton.
  18. With odds of 4-1 in a two horse race you'd be mad not too.
  19. That Sunderland away shirt is awful. I hope we don't end up with anything like that. Spoke to my mate at Umbro. He's not saying anything other than he's seen a memo which mentioned a June launch. I think we'd already worked that out for ourselves!
  20. I heard that they're trying to lure a giant moth.
  21. Rumour in Chester is that Owen's going to Everton.
  22. I'll have a bet with you that Saints don't finish in the top 6!
  23. Surely AD is short for Adkins?
  24. Leicester champions. Saints somewhere between 16th & 20th. Hard to call the bottom 3 although I expect Doncaster, Palace, Derby & Barnsley to be down there.
