I said we'd lose at Burnley and we got a point which was good. However, I never thought we'd get anything out of a midweek fixture away at Cardiff. The honeymoon period is over and the bubble has burst. It was a cracking start and very enjoyable but I think we'll start to see things in a different light over the next couple of months.

It's not just the top two. It's like three leagues in one. You can pretty much pick the Top 5 on the first day of the season. Then you've got a mini league of six or seven teams trying for a Europen spot. Finally the bottom eight or nine. You'll know one of the relegated teams by Christmas and then you'll have the excitement of the last day of the season where any two from a possible seven clubs could go down. It's riveting stuff! Let the top four **** off and have their silly european league. At least it might give some other teams a chance. The way things are it's always going to have the same outcome, unless a foreign investor comes in with Billions and allows your team to buy success, which really isn't what it's all about.

That is embarrassing. I'll bet a HUGE sum of money that Saints don't go up this season. To be honest the Premiership is a pretty **** place to be these days. It's become a joke!

Amazing how many people are saying not to bother. I'm with them. Judging by the number of people with Tattoo's that I saw on holiday recently I have to say that it's more original not to have one.

I don't understand all this negativity when people suggest certain players. We've seen a number of players who've been at Saints and been poor then moved elsewhere and looked completely different. By the same token it can work the other way. Sometimes a move to another club is exactly what's needed to kickstart a career.

Thanks for the info. I'd like to see Barnard back in the team alongside Rickie. DC has been excellent but I doubt we'll get a full season out of him. Harding's injury doesn't sound too good. Good job we've got Fox. I wonder if we'll ever see Ryan Dickson again?
