This would be a good signing. The other player I'd like to see us make a move for is Kilgallon at Sunderland, although he's just got his place back in the first team because of injuries.

Bolton don't want to loan him out so Sunderland are prepared to offer a permanent deal. We really don't need him.

CB has to be a priority. Fonte still out. No sign of Seabourne or Jaidi and now an injury to Jos.

Anybody who believes that is living on another planet! In December I posted a thread with a few facts. We've lost to clubs in the bottom 3 away from home and still have the likes of WHU, Boro, Brum & Blackpool etc. to play away. Given our crap away form, how can people honestly think we'll beat those teams? Now we've started losing at home and are showing little sign of signing any real quality. I got a whole host of abusive private messages when I expressed my opinion. I predicted this would happen and I stand by what I said. Saints will not get promoted automatically!

A mate has just told me that we've offered Lallana & Puncheon plus cash for Hooper. He reckons that's why we've taken the lad on loan from Spurs to replace Lallana. I can't help but feel that he's trying to take the ****?

At no point did I say that we should sign someone cheap with Prem experience. I simply gave my views on why we shouldn't sign the players listed. For what it's worth I'm not the only one who said that we shouldn't sign any of the players listed.

Not one of them. Hooper - Too much money. Sharp / Maynard / Rodriguez / Sordell can all do a job at this level but would they be able to hack it in the Premiership if we go up? Rhodes - On fire but will it last and can he do it at this level? Beckford - ****e attitude.

Should have signed someone who is UK based. At least there's none of this nonsense with getting players from the other side of the world and also less chance of them throwing a wobbler at some point and saying that they want to go home because they're homesick.

We need another player like Chaplow! Also, why loan out Doble and go for this guy? Surely they've both got something to prove? If Doble goes to Bury and scores 4 in 8 games then people will be saying we should've kept hold of him and given him a run out. I could understand loaning Doble and going for a proven goalscorer at this level but to me this doesn't make any sense.
