  1. Guess they will at some point but not sure when exactly.
  2. I'd prefer the stripe to be pale blue. So something like the current England away shirt with a sash the same colour as the collar.
  3. This would explain why they didn't reduce the price of the away shirts at the end of the season.
  4. Damn right. Without a shadow of a doubt.
  5. Yep, that's why we had to have the special UEFA shirt with a plain red back when we were in Europe in 2003.
  6. Green, please. Probably the least used colour so therefore a bit different to the norm.
  7. The colour of a home kit should never change. The away kit is the ideal place if you want to mess around with different colours and designs. Saints have played in pretty much every colour on their away kit, except green. Personally I'd love to see us adopt a green away kit as there's so few clubs that play in green.
  8. He gets played out of position a lot! ;-)
  9. If we're looking for a keeper then Robinson from Blackburn would be a good option. Just before the WC he had the best record of the English keepers in the Prem but was left out in favour of Robert Green and David James. :-/
  10. A mate was telling me today that Liverpool are looking to offload Kuyt for £1m. He could definitely do a job for us. Wages could well be a stumbling block.
  11. Exactly. A friends son went to the auditions. He's a singer songwriter. Contestents have to get through a series of auditions before they're even considered for the TV show. They were blown away with his audition and he was told he'd be considered for the TV show. After waiting for 11 hours he was told that they'd got too many singer songwriters this year and that he was going home. So basically a guy with some talent failed to make the TV show whilst an idiot who dressed as a Roman and recited the opening speech from the film, Gladiator got buzzed by all 4 judges. What a complete waste of time for all concerned.
  12. Good manager who's time at Saints was cut short by RL being swayed by a load of unsubstantiated nonsense. Dave Jones could have had a field day if he'd taken legal action against the club. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty??? Lowe got rid without a shred of evidence that suggested that Jones was guilty. Shame on him for that!
  13. Top lad. Pre season tour in Sweden in 2004 he was one of the first players to take time out to come and chat to the fans. Everybody was happy to sign stuff etc but Beattie was the one player who really made an effort and had a laugh with the fans. :-)
  14. Great, now they've given ITV yet another distraction to focus on during the game. What is it with them? They always seem to prefer showing girls with painted faces rather than focusing on the game.

Exactly. Part of the soundtrack of my life. The Beastie Boys took Hip Hop to a new audience. Always innovative and ground breaking. I knew he was in a bad way but the press had always said that it was a 'treatable' form of cancer and that he was expected to make a full recovery. 47 is far too young. Absolutely gutted. RIP MCA.
  16. Seems only fitting to play some Beastie Boys. RIP MCA.
  17. Absolutely gutted. They took Hip Hop to a new audience. Innovative and groundbreaking. Their music has been part of the soundtrack of my life. RIP MCA.
  18. People are saying that the FA couldn't afford 'Arry. Fair enough but they've given a 64 year old a 4 year contract. Will they never learn? Just like all the others he'll probably get the sack after a couple of years and it'll end up costing the FA a small fortune. The problem in all of this is the FA. It's an old boys network and needs a major shake up.
  19. At last, somebody who has actually answered the topic sensibly. It's only taken 18 posts for someone to actually commit to what they think instead of straying off topic or saying that it's too early to talk about this. The season's over and players will be leaving so why can't it be discussed? I totally agree with your list of additions. I think we'll see Holmes, Forte, Dickson, Butterfield, Jaidi, Barnard all go with the likes of Puncheon, Seabourne, Harding, Bart and Hammond a possibility. The one fairly regular player in the current squad that I don't see being up to life in the Prem is Hammond.
  20. Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm only passing on what I was told. At the end of the day, 'An old favourite' could mean a number of things.
  21. Torquay Utd in the league cup. The ground was nice and empty so there were no queues for food or the toilet. Parking the car was easy and getting away after the game was a breeze. The highlight of the 4-1 win was Forte's goal in the 93rd minute. If he hadn't have scored that we'd have only won 3-1.
  22. I've heard a rumour that it's going to be similar to an old favourite. Can only assume they mean the Rank Xerox / Air Florida shirt from the early 80's?
  23. FFS it's a mobile phone cover. The phone could have been lent to the user or maybe they just wanted a cheap way of protecting their phone and the arsenal covers were in the clearance bin?
