Because we didn't NEED to shell out for him. They said from the outset that we would do this whole thing the right way. No do a Man City and buy the best 10 strikers in the division and have a squad of players but would build a team. Cortese & Adkins said prior to January that we had targets and seemed like they didnt come off but we have no idea who they were after. This has crossed my mi d but from what I have heard it was Punchhim's complete show of disrespect towards the club that has resulted in the position we are now in, rather than his general ego. Great news. Shows how much faith NC has in NA for him to offer him such a long contract back in January. Some want to focus on the negative and say how it will cost a fortune if it goes wrong... More importantly is that if we start flying high in the Championship with the sort of football I watched Scunny produce under NA, then he is going to be a very sought after Manager and this long contract will have us in a prime position to keep hold of our man. Good news indeed.
