I usually dont buy into this anti-Saints agenda stuff but that is exactly what I thought when watching match of the day.. I watched the whole game, like many others, and the highlights gave a very false reflection of how things turned out. It looked like we held on for 90 mins then smash and grab. made me a little angry to be honest

Your favourite Saints players that weren't popular?
Bananaman replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
I only ask because it became obvious fairly quickly that he was ****e and, as such, i dont remember how long his cult following lasted. -

The OP stated that we haven't scored in a league game, in open play... I would class a crossed free kick, headed in on goal as a set piece..

The last two weeks has seen an abundance of finger pointing fingers at Mr Friend and Mr Webb... think what you want about their performances but how much impact does a refereeing decision really have on a game when, quite simply, three games in, we still haven't scored a goal in open play in the league? I am not trying to be a pessimist but we surely cannot continue to point fingers at individuals (Refs, Gaston, Fox, JRod et al) when the team are not scoring goals against top flight opposition.

Unhealthy obsession with Southampton Football Club
Bananaman replied to Chicken With A Banjo's topic in The Muppet Show
I understand football (and would henceforth describe it) as 'task based theatre' (despite the somewhat effeminate qualities of the term). For me; Football comes under the same category as going to a theatre to see performance art, listening to music or watching a movie. Despite your obvious attempt to create a reaction by making derogatory remarks regarding the individuals who use this site (which in-turn is probably, but not necessarily, the result of low self-esteem, stemming from negative body image or a difficult relationship with one or both parents on your parents.) I would suggest that your original post simply acts to expose your uneducated and uncultured understanding of the relationship between sociological and artistic movements. Your point of view is both narrow minded and uninformed, not to mention the hypocrisy in addressing passivity through the means of the transcendental hyper-reality of an online forum. -
genuine question. Why is Fonte playing after 90 mins on Sat? with an impending 90 mins this coming weekend
