Just hope those that were in the home stand to our right at Plymouth don't sit in the home stand at Bristol. Never seen such a mauling pack attacking them apart from on police camera action cctv

Working in London, plenty of Hammers here. One of them this morning asked when the bubble was going to burst. Muppet.

Does anyone see the point/enjoy goal music ?

made me chuckle, crowd surfing at a football match -
I remember that. Sat near the front of the Chapel behind the goal, late back after interval due to queues for the loo, blocked a couple of people's view when going past at same time as Chelsea scoring and got moaned at because they missed the goal. Err, shouldn't you be supporting Saints?

first game back in 85 in the super cup - a certain David Armstrong scored against Liverpool. Used to go to quite a few home and away when I was younger as had more money to burn, but go when I can - not often nowadays due to a wife and young child. Annoy the wife having saints player on the laptop for commentary. Never had a season ticket but respect those that get one each year, as I probably would if I lived in the area. Not blinkered by the "it's a big team so have to be there" just go when I can. I've probably let my heart rule my head in the past when it comes to buying a ticket or not for a game as my overdraft has shown. People shouldn't wave their season tickets to the non regulars as having big crowds for the better games shows Cortese that the fan base is massive and with larger crowds in the EPL (come on lads you can do it) then we can look at expanding the stadium.

I was walking through Portsmouth city centre a few years ago and spotted a fellow Saints fan wearing a Southampton Football Club t-shirt. Either a nutter or hard as nails!

This website link is good as it gives out rough costs on extending leases: http://www.propertyinvestmentproject.co.uk/blog/how-to-extend-your-lease/ We're currently in the situation of having our lease extended to 125 years as it's currently 59 years remaining. Long story shortened, us and our three neighbours in a purpose built block of four maisonette did a deal with the freeholder who wanted to relocate our garage in order to redevelop the flats and parking area behind our maisonettes, by agreeing to have our garages moved for a lease extension. It's been going on for the last 7 years as he had to get planning permission from the council and plans were drawn up, submitted, withdrawn etc, etc, so because of the duration and hassle they've finally agreed to pay the solicitor's fees. It's only now just coming to a conclusion. A friend of mine is also having lease issues so I do empathise. No more leasehold properties for my family! Also, get a good solicitor who doesn't take any crap from landlords. Good luck

Lack of Swifts, Martins and Swallows This Summer?

Just been down to the Dordogne for a couple of weeks and there were loads of swallows down there. -
Who was your favourite foreign Saints player? (current players don't count)

less of the cheek. Solid no nonense player with a cracking shot. Could have done with a midfield general like him over recent times. Stupid me shouldn't have missed the "foreign" Apolgies! -

Jimmy Case -
I remember that one, long old journey back on the train after that match. Along with their crappy automated drum beat to get the crowd going bad day all round.

I'm after the 1976 Admiral red and white stripe shirt - only have XXL at moment

if it's ale i drink it. I remember the owd roger sold in the muddy duck to start off proceedings on a winchester pub crawl. two pints of that and you were half way there on the stroll down jewry street

I used to work with somebody from the area who knew they were 100% guilty, just the old you don't grass

I'm a proper real ale drinker, but can actually stomach cold Fosters on a hot summer day. Saying that though, visited Germany and Czech Republic in my younger days, and their beer, although lager type tastes much better than the fizzy crap we have over here. Back in the early 90s, the beer in Prague was only about 20p for a large jugged glass.

Just snoozing at mate's flat just down from Mutley. Came down scenic A30 route from Marlborough Saturday just to listen to win on Solent. Only seen one janner top in two days I've already been here. My mate was up at his wife's uncle's house in Exeter yesterday and was told that Plymouth were absolute crap. There for the taking today. See you all in the away stand.

I'm going to pretend I'm towing a caravan and crawl along - should get all of the second half that way.

used to spend holidays as a kid down in Portsmouth with relatives. Had some street parties down there as although they stink of fish, they are also community minded and patriotic - especially the older generation.

The infamous Saints Player. I had it on in garden Monday and noticed that the sound output from the Hartlepool commentators was much louder than Dave Merrington's ramblings. Might be a joy to sit in one of those inevitable South Westerly traffic jams for a change just so I can make it to the end of the match before Solent cuts out.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am driving from Burbage just south of Marlborough, so might keep going further south from Salisbury, Blandford and take the coastal road as suggested. I did manage to keep the signal once up to the outskirts of Slough!

Evening all, what is the furthest southwest anybody has picked up radio solent 96.1 FM on a car radio? I'm driving down on Saturday afternoon to Plymouth taking the scenic A303 route. Would stay at the inlaws in Burbage until after the Brentford match but don't want to get down there late. Cheers.

Bugger, sent my two tickets back this morning as I thought it would be rescheduled to a weekday evening! Just checked with my mate down there and it's back on for a weekend on the ****. I'll have to phone the ticket office first thing tomorrow to get them to send the tickets back out to me!! Wife's not too pleased though!
