  1. Still the fans will come in their lovely red replica shirts. We all like the riches and glamour of the PL but seriously worrying how many ****s it is attracting to invest. Always disliked Cardiff though so find it funny and rather they went down than a better run club. Feel more sorry for a Hull though which is similar situation. Still never know their May be another Steve Kean out there. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his own soul?
  2. Ha just replied to you on another thread but clearly you have an agenda. Comical. Although good skills in interpreting so much from their facial expressions and knowing the cause. Were all the BBC reporters the same? Maybe they went on a training course where they had lavish refreshments that I as a licence payer am not happy about.

Would you prefer they adopted a stance similar to Fox News? The Beeb doesn't always get it right but makes me laugh when people rant about what they air when basically all they mean is why don't they reflect my opinions. Not always easy. Having no common decency is not sow thing I would accuse them of. Panorama is generally poor though and I no longer consider watching but is just one programme and if I want to hear news I can trust will always be the place I go. Interesting comparing Sky news and the BBC Twitter news feeds when there is a breaking tragedy. Sky often have higher numbers of fatalities which are frequently scaled down. BBC are always more accurate as sensationalism is not their main focus. It has many faults but still something we should cherish imo.
  4. perceptive yes that is one of them. The other was plenty of pretentious love to brag about it over the provinces and those sorts are normally very dull as want to associate with something exciting, I didn't read the link in OP either I'm afraid. Apologies if contribution wasn't up to the high standard.
  5. Tbh I haven't read all the posts again but my impression first time was that people were stating obvious about how vibrant London is. Wow how surprisingly. People associating themselves with it as if it reflects on their hectic party lifestyle. Reality most don't want that hectic pace of life. I like London and go regularly but buggered if would want to live there.
  6. I wasn't meaning you really Barry. Verbal I think it was. Quoted you though so sure it looked like that. Apologies as see in other posts you are not saying same as others
  7. Yeah exactly - why would I want my family to live near a great school, have easy access to the forest, the coast and loads of other beautiful green space when I could be near a great expensive restaurants, the theatre and art galleries that I would rarely attend and can do so easily on a day trip. Oh and afford a house. I must be mad! Actually your question is quite stupid as if ranking locations by achievement. As I said lots of pretentious fckers posting
  8. This appears just to be people showing off about how they live in busy old London. Yawn I bet they have amazing travel stories as well. You haven't lived until you have seen this little tea shop in India at sunset
  9. Latest news might make the boxing day trip easier http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25457024
  10. 'Handbags at half-mast' was what he said. That will confuse any enquiry in trying to understand what he meant. Swinging into each other's knees?
  11. I was replying to someone saying that the ratio meant nothing as was over a shorter period which is a flawed logic. The obsession by Sky Sports news with stats gets on my tits but they have space to fill As in my post I put a link that said the reason why AVB was sacked. Regarding your little rant directed at the 'simple-minded' - who are these people? Think you are only one getting worked up about a statistic.
  12. I don't think the LC is dying as been same for a number of years now. Interesting Copa del Rey seems to have much more significance in Spain now and good to see. But as many say PL riches drive the obsession with league and not same structure in Spain. Sunderland getting 20k is poor but on tv just before Christmas won't have helped either. AVB took the cups seriously and look where got him.
  13. Is this a good thing though? One could argue that the country might be harder working (in terms of hours with most of Europe) but are we happier? I have seen many friend and colleagues bury themselves into their work at expense of their home life and relationships. Is all too easy to obsess and get validation from being valued at work.and clearly there is desire to become successful and richer in most of us but seen so many who are clearly not happier and more contented. A tough balance. Often work cultures perpetuate this as well so staff feel weak if they don't put in the hours and becomes a competition to see who can stay the latest. No-one ever said on their deathbed 'I wished I worked harder' (I don't this for a fact but is unlikely). I'm off to enjoy the scent of a flower and look a baby's smiling face. Actually that is not practical as it is 4.20 am and nearly time to get up for work. And must remember to leave early today to see my daughter in her Christmas performance.
  14. We are discussing this why? Man City linked and rumoured to let hart go the other way. Doesn't seem short of suitors so why does anyone think he is coming our way. Don't such threads normally start with a link?
  15. Errr that is how ratios work. Would you prefer absolutes ie he lost less games cos he managed less? And utter dross - you do know they are above us in the league? Got a couple of high profile televised spankings admittedly but here is a good article about why he went http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/10521678/Tottenham-chairman-Daniel-Levy-and-manager-Andre-Villas-Boas-had-become-distant.html
  16. Been there twice and really enjoyed. Prefer Icmeler down the road though. Bar Street hectic. All pretty cheap. Woudl go back although not the classiest of places.
  17. Don't 'hate this' more pity you.
  18. Ahh I think I remember now - it was the Walsall post-match thread where we disagreed over who was MOTM and it escalated to me calling you a rotten scoundrel and damned your fishpond. Apologies for that I was still angry about a borderline offside decision and a luke warm pie. Time heals etc.
  19. I am amazed everyone can remember and recall what everyone has posted and bring it back up all the time, I think I have insulted many but be buggered if I can remember when and only a few of the who's but have not really considered that anyone has harboured a grudge against me. Most discussions are throwaway stuff surely but seem more personal. Sweet little community in many ways
  20. Is the point of this post some luddite doesn't like the internet railing against fans who use it to get their football fix? Loads that is crp with the internet but giving access to all games isn't one of them. I have missed a handful of home games over last 5 years and no conflict whatsoever with attending. So many factors affect attendance and I can afford to go no problem however if continue to increase will reconsider more out of principle. Even a 3% increase is unacceptable giving the riches swilling around the PL. And that thread referenced has helped a lot of people who may not have been tech savvy so no I do not agree a sad indictment whatsoever.
  21. Capello turned out to be dreadful when he switched to English. His mystique went. My only issue is the lengthy of time to broadcast and would prefer subtitles. Esp when MOTD time is at a premium
  22. 40% of games gone and he hadn't predicted Arsenal,City, Utd or Liverpool to lose a game and just one for Chelsea. And not one win predicted for Cardiff and Sunderland - their forums must be fuming at the old bastrd
  23. Not necessarily. Enforced rest might help. Cork and Chambers getting game time that is all going to help. Obv Gazza is a worry but again game time is going to help his development. And we were outstanding against City. Quite confident for Saturday despite the injuries and Osvaldo will play a blinder

    MPs' pay

Exactly. Smug fckers like Cameron, Milliband and Clegg can all afford to make noble gestures as wealthy anyway but just PR and no affinity to the common man.
  25. Lost some respect for you. Was that on page 2 of your google search?
