  1. Decline ffs? Would put us in same bracket as Utd opting out of FA Cup which was scandalous and fckers should have been banned from comp for next 10 years.
  2. Which website is this from or is it generated by the OP? Like for like comparisons is interesting but as others say projection is not. As we are averaging 4.5 times as many points as last season the projection shpuld show we get 184 pts this season which I think might beat the record. I think would be better to just have points after same number of games as well regardless of opposition although meaningless for promoted sides. Same bores ripping into what is a fair discussion topic. Fck knows this place is repetitive enough (as are some posters) so anything like this is welcome.
  3. And then I go and see a thread that has done just that!
  4. Are you referring to corresponding home games? If so we lost to Sunderland, QPR (although WHU direct swap as promoted via play-offs) Drew with WHU, Swansea and Fulham. While I'm there on away games: Lost to WBA , Utd and Liverpool Drew with Norwich 4pts last season compared with 18 pts this season Arsenal are actually worse off on the same comparison.
  5. Quite right I noticed this yesterday in guardian mbm: Mauricio Pochettino's men have taken a lot of plaudits around these parts, which baffles me as they seem to be playing exactly the same kind of football that used to see a bucket of disdain thrown over the likes of Steve McClaren and Alan Curbishley. Saints keep it tight, they get men behind the ball, they are unbelievably narrow, they press hard, they looks to score from set pieces... As a result Southampton have a good away record while their home matches have thrown up some dismal games, such as the 0-0 draw with West Ham. So Southampton are doing well – and it's great to see a different team up there – but let's be honest, unless you're the sort of person who thinks Fabio Capello errs on the risky side when he sends his teams out, I defy anyone to say that they're an exciting team. And this even though they have lots of expensive and exciting players, including the excellent Adam Lallana. Here's hoping they throw off the shackles tonight.
  6. It wasn't that different to what has been offered by many before. Paddy Barclay has always liked Saints. Paul Hayward has also said lots of good stuff in past and was acknowledging NC knows what he is doing. The Sun hack Neil Custis said we play a high pressing game but is kinda embarrassing saying it as in a revelatory way. Was good love though and saying making it most interesting season as us and Everton upsetting the standard top 4.
  7. Is there any club* in the PL to hate more than this lot? Even more so now Hughes is there although admittedly he seems slightly more humble after his QPR experience. *Cardiff, Chelsea Everton, WHU come close.
  8. Good article here http://www.football365.com/faves/8993405/Five-Secrets-To-Pochettino-s-Southampton-Success
  9. Tbh my main point was annoyed as wanting to watch the game later. I don't think it will damage our profile or any low viewing figures will be detrimental although nice to be the centre piece at times.
  10. Ahh sweet you think you are being stalked although questionable evidence. You reply to someone and mention me I reply I re-read thread weeks later and reply You reply I reply You reply Good luck with the restraining order!
  11. Does everyone have a CB Fry equivalent telling people it is not significant? He might be able to find some online buddies
  12. Interesting how you assume I care for marketing reasons. We are not on tv much and would be good to be the main focus game for rest of uk so that all the non regular fans were watching our game eg journos on Twitter. They would have been but now will be watching the barca. From this forum sensitivity and getting over excited with 5live or sky praise clearly many want us to be appreciated. Fully expect the retort of 'who cares' as this place seems to be rife with macho posturing but clearly many do.
  13. Barca v Real Madrid on at same time as our game tomorrow. Gutted as was hoping to watch afterwards and assumed was 8pm. Won't do much for our viewing figures on Sky either.
  14. I gave up mate and just glad did monthly sign up. Although relatively cheap can't be arsed to keep chasing dns changing services. They caught up with overplay and sure will do same with unotelly soon.

    Arsenal Away

Exactly - I have no complaint if don't get ticket as those that made treks to the others should get first shout. Not give away to others which is in effect queue jumping which us British just will not tolerate.
  16. That long eh although threads come so thick and fast. Devastated I missed last weeks although there seems to have been no prolonged discussion on his predictions so it could have been worse. Also my wittiest friend was on holiday so I had to wait for him to return to help me compose a worthy response,

    Arsenal Away

Haven't been to an away game this season yet ,- do people think they will get to season tickets with no games under their belt? Why does last season count for nothing?
  18. If it has stopped your oh so witty mocking comments on the Lawro threads about how much you want him to predict a win then I am pleased. I do miss them a bit though.
  19. I see the old boy has only predicted one defeat all season for the big 6- out of the 48 games they have participated in. The Premier league isn't quite as easy as that though Lawro. - there has been 10!
  20. Was there any dressing room unrest? Must be hard sitting down together when some might've disagreed about the validity of a transfer rumour or whether Ramirez is any good, What are their saintsweb names? it would kind of spoil the mystique knowing Turkish had a real name though
  21. I don't think he said we are top class striker he said if we had same quality of players as top teams with our style we woudl be up there with Bayern and barca. Might be wrong though but would be ludicrous to suggest we are one player away
  22. MOTD don't have the time Sky have. Actually Shearer has been making same points that carragher and Neville have it is just he isn't popular so everyone slags him. Hansen is not as bad as people make out either. Shearer did a piece last year at Old Trafford about change in style and pressing soon after MP took over but nobody was calling him an insightful genius
  23. MNF was excellent. And to think many moaning about MOTD editing. Praise we are getting at the moment is most I can ever remember although there is saturation coverage. Loved

    Osvaldo

Tbh I didn't know much about him until we were linked. But I know enough that Poch knows more than me so I will be supportive. As said previously not saying don't criticise him but far too early to write him off. Silva had a very patchy first season but good players adjust to pace and physical aspect.

    Osvaldo

Yeah no room for Zola or Silva or Oscar - need to look after yourself in the big boys league. Playing against Palace, Hull, Fulham is far more demanding than playing for Italy. what was Poch thinking signing him. This fool needs to go as it is mistake after mistake with him.
