I'm not going to jump to conclusions this season. We have had an utterly sh*te summer due to our board going AWOL, a scheming, conniving manager and a bunch of primma donnas throwing playground strops, and we have a whole bunch of new faces that need to adjust and acclimatise. Yes, the performance against the Scouse Thieving Tw*ts gave us false hope that this process would be complete sooner rather than later, but I am guessing the team were motivated by other factors like sticking the proverbial middle digit up at Rodgers, but this Saturday was a bump back to reality. And its clear that the scumbag Argie is doing his best to unsettle the team still. Lets see where we are when the window shuts, when everyone then knows who they are, what they are, and where they feature mid-term in the clubs plans, and see what happens next. As per usual, I think the litmus test is where we are at Xmas.

Quite apart from the fact that its a confidential documentment between employer and employee....

New players get less and less time to settle in these days.

The board were criticised during the online match commentary of the Liverpool game for going mad when Clyne scored. Apparently they should have behaved with more decorum. Perhaps that had an impact. -

The piety on this thread is priceless. Fans are being asked to pay record prices for tickets, food, replica kits, etc. so that players can be paid top dollar for their services, yet it is the fans being unreasonable ? Times have changed. This isnt the times of Channon and Davies. I am not saying things have changed for the better, but you all need to deal with it. Football isnt a working-class recreation any more, it is a billion-dollar business. Success is all about results and revenue. If the players and managers cannot take it for the money they are paid, they are in the wrong job. Love the comment about Ramirez needing 6 months, btw. Sarcasm at its best. I am just wondering which 6 month period we are talking about... -

I think its too early to judge Pelle, but maybe the immediate expectations from some come from the fact that modern players are paid a f**king fortune that most can only dream of. Besides, there are exceptions to every rule; Ramirez has been cut a ridiculous amount of slack by most Saints fans on the back of a few pretty touches despite it being clear MONTHS ago he will never be reliable. -
I wont. Advance notification from RoKo does little to reduce the scale of the shafting we have received from Bologna and the player himself.

No Gashton again. What a farce this has turned into...

Jesus, even you must know that is weak as an argument. Even if Iron Dome is 99% effective (which it is far from), what does the Israeli leadership say to the families of the victims of the remaining 1% ? Dont forget that this is a nation who post-Holocaust considers the life of every citizen to be sacrosanct. Lets not also forget this latest spate of violence was caused because Hamas kidnapped, tortured and murdered 3 innocent Israeli teenagers. Israel is paranoid; it thinks it is surrounded on all sides by nations and people who would cheerfully re-enact the Holocaust and therefore reacts with a level of aggression totally out of proportion to events. However on the other side Hamas are a bunch of thuggish cowards who use their own as fodder for propaganda purposes, and are so f**king stupid they dont realise their tactics play straight into Israeli hands.

Whereas Hamas know (and care) exactly where their rockets are going to land......

Lets have him back on loan then. -
Ronald Koeman on Artur Boruc's future at Saints
alpine_saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
This. I am guessing Boruc and Koeman had already argued about it by then and Koeman was annoyed. I do like that Koeman seems willing to face up to these stroppy players head-on though. -

Back to square one in terms of cover between the sticks then... -
Great post, Frank.

I will happlily apologise for my insults if the board apologise for their mis-handling of Pochettino and their p*ss-poor communication.
-
Because its too early to be sure that we are as strong as last season. Jeffie can blast "told you so" as much as he wants once it has been proven
-
Excellent news. We dodged a bullet with SISU.
-
Didnt they try that and come away with a bloody nose a couple of times during the 60s/70s ? As Charlie points out, most attempts at a ceasefire recently have ended with more Hamas rockets into Gaza, usually fired from places where if the IDF respond Hamas will have lots of nice footage of collateral damage. Oh, and Hamas also know EXACTLY how Israeli will respond in advance. The world aint black-and-white.
-
Indeed, "told you so"-ing may turn out to be as premature as Turkey is in the sack...
-
Come on then, who abused you ? You've only got on my nerves since you started the smug, self-satisfied "told you so" routine (as with that thread you started last week) so dont include me in the list. Before then I just viewed you as having your own opinion, misguided due to lack of evidence in support. I suspect your abusers of being a pretty short list, tbh.
-
I consider that justifiable cause for frustration. What is currently frustrating you, Turkey and the RNs answer to Steven Segal so much that you jump down the throats of most people who dare to post their opinions on here ?
-
In the flesh ? No. So what ? Most Saints fans havent or can only vaguely remember it.

Have a look at #6109 and tell me what I wrote there that started this hysterical bellyaching...
-
Yes, because my post today (#6109) was really so negative and provocative, wasnt it ??? Some of you should have a closer look at yourselves. Seems some of you are deeply frustrated about something and need an outlet. I thought masturbation was commonly perceived to help...

I havent "invented" anything. I've offered an interpretation of current rumours. Seriously, you need help. Your posting nowaydays offers zero serious topic-related content, only increasingly nasty sneering and abuse of the opinion of others. Post #6111 offers all the evidence that you are slowly unhinging that is required.
