Totally unnecessary.

Dont think we are in any danger whatsoever come May 2014, but here comes the reality check after a superb start. We have ploughed far too much of our resources into a couple of disastrous signings who have contributed f**k-all, rather than going for across-the-board squad deepening. A far to small group of players has been propping up our start track record. And we about to feel the impact of this as the injuries set in. Still a long way to go. Get rid of the two S. American parasites for a reasonable amount (we have to take the loss on the chin), and put it back into two or three players that enhance the squad.

And for todays installment of "Explaining bears sh*tting in the woods to a bloke who has spent too much time decorating vol-au-vents in a 30m steel tube", Alpine Saint explains he only posts when he has something to say... -

Will be lucky to get half that. He spends more time on planes than playing or training. -

Fratton Park. April 2005. I watched a dire central defence partnership of a disinterested Lundekvam and w*nker Davenport turn one of the best goalkeepers this club has ever had into utter sh*te because of a lack of trust and understanding amongst the back 5. Whether you and all the clappies like it or not, the back 5 understanding is crucial to the way they perform as a unit. I am strongly of the opinion that however good he was destined to play himself, the introduction of Hooiveld for a sick Lovren threw the back 5 and made them less settled and certain. -
Has his distribution improved ?

Nope. Its not the relevant question, as you well know. The one you are seemingly finding difficult to grasp the concept of is, would those two players have made those mistakes if Lovren had played ? -

Jesus f**king wept, I wonder about this place sometimes. Lovren was missing from a settled defence and the others were unsettled and made stupid mistakes. I never blame Jos, but his presence was the cause -

Those nagging doubts just get a little louder with every passing game. 27m - a lot of money for little return.. -

Worth noting that on the day Lovren is missing, which 2 players gifted Arsenal the game. And we got the subs badly wrong. Learn from it, pray Lovren is fit next game, and move on. MoPo needs to reconsider his approach to the January window, though.. -
Neither would have happened if Lovren had played.

Could well be down to 6th/7th tomorrow Its tough at the top...

Why is it WUMming/Trolling ? Maybe Boruc doesnt have the head for the big games. Havent seen the goal, but sounds f**king ridiculous...

Has to be all murders, or none. I dont see Gerry Adams coming to trial for Jean McConville, do you ? -

This. Whats wrong with Lovren ? Could it really be months ? For all the youth names being bandied about, I dont recognise any as a CB, and besides the best CBs seem to be mature players with no fitness problems (e.g. Wright and Walker in their heyday). Hooivelt and Yoshida arent up to it, and f**k knows what will happen to Fonte during an extended period of either of them along side him. -
This had a thread a while back. Most people felt Boruc, but a few of us said Lovren and were abused for it. Suppose we'll find out who was right today..
-
Depends on your definition of "hope"; how far between confidence and desperation it lies...
-
Deliberate choice of words ???
-
Well, one way to look at it is that we have an excuse now for losing. Hopefully the penny drops for NC and MoPo today that we need another CB and that Hooiveld and Yoshida dont fit that description.
-
So, we are deffo in a top-of-the-table match. When did that last happen ? Hey-hooo. Probably get hammered, but the excitement feels good.

I have always felt that MLT would have stayed at the top of his game for us for maybe 2 or 3 years more if Hoddle hadnt crushed his England aspirations in such a cynical manner.

What a pr*ck. Sod you Dalek, I am glad that egotistical tw*t never came back. Its even worth 7 years in the minor leagues.

Last time I checked London was only an hour away from Southampton.... He could take longer getting home from Selhurst Park..
