  1. Well we are nearer to a relegation scrap than the Champions League place claimed on here a while back
  2. Doesnt invalidate my comment. We are now well and truly back to the bad old days
  3. Were going backwards as a team faster than an Italian tank. totally lost their way over the last 8 weeks. Wonder how restless NC is getting ?
  4. Definitely this, but it has been further aggravated by some pretty stupid luxury marque signings.
  5. At a fraction of the cost and grief...
  6. Puncheon actually did something on the pitch.
  7. And this is based on...what ? That a player on 60K per week has finally turned up and put a half-decent 20mins in for the first time this season ?
  8. I hope we are selling him, we need to strengthen in other areas and have players here who are interested in the club.
  9. Big site on edge of city + ambitious CEO = 2 + 2 = 5
  10. No f**king way. Lambert and J-Rod is the only thing we have anywhere near an effective strike partnership. I suppose those saying yes are getting semis on because the Gash decided to honour us with a goal and a half-decent 20mins at the weekend. And Osvaldo is turning into an even bigger Invisible Man than the Gash. I dont want to see another mercenary want-away immediately S. American come in for the price of Rickie plus 10m and do nothing as well. Lambert has been possibly the clubs best buy - EVER - and he still makes things happen (albeit not as consistently as a couple of years ago).
  11. Nice to see our defence coming back together, equally frustrating to see 27m of supposed talent not making any contribution - again.
  12. Clean slate, J-Rod on form, another game out of the way with a sub-standard defence. Cant ask for much more. Would have been nice to crack on and get another couple in the second half, but cant have it all.
  13. more evidence of insufficient squad depth. almost completely second-string back 5 today and it shows. really dont understand saving Shaw for Thurs.
  14. Aye. Hope the Rigby family get some sense of closure now, and can enjoy Christmas a little. Oh, and f**k the BBC.
  15. I'd go for the newbies.
  16. Here we go again.... Will either be new manager syndrome against us, or our own current manager facing us.
  17. Has the odd lapse in concentration imo, but hes young. He impressed me in the Villach friendlies; I rate him.
  18. After the latest abject performances, I wonder how much longer Cook will be captain. Also,, I think its time to put Pietersen out to pasture. Totally undependable for a player of his experience.
  19. And we need another quality CB in the January window. We can fund it by getting rid of the Gash.
  20. A good point, but really need to turn all this possession into wins. Suggests we are lacking in the last third of the field. Osvaldo plays when he feels like it, Rickie is finding consistency difficult, we seem totally dependent on J-Rod.
  21. hahahaha. This is f**king hillarious
  22. Apart from Boruc, who we need back desperately, for me this doesnt look so bad, because I'd like to see Cork get a chance to resetablish himself and hold his place. I rate him and would be gutted if he left in January.
  23. Oh, I knew this thread was inevitable... There is a MASSIVE difference between NC and Lowe. Their means might have been similar, but the ends are completely different. Lowe wanted to nuture young talent through the Academy to improve the companies' bottom line and pay dividends. NC seems to measure success on the football field.
  24. i personally thik Corks return from Olympic injury saved us last season, so I hope Mopo appreciates his value to us and, dare I say it, think about rotating the CM places a bit when everyone is available again
  25. Just what the doctor ordered. well done to the players, and especially well done to Mopo. Seems we might have a bit more squad depth than first glance suggests. Good result
